MeTa post: Anyone mentions "gibson" they get to buy a round.
Going anyway, so I'll definitely be there. Makes up for missing the one in Central Park.

MeTa post: Can't find it.
In the future, can we stretch these things out more? It's better that way. Maybe some false leads and red herrings? Who knows what might turn up?

cool site!

MeTa post: Comment count in RSS
To bypass the image generation/alternate font problem, why not use an small iframe instead of the image? Then, just have a URL that returns the comment count for a thread...

MeTa post: Recent Activity RSS Feed?
cillit bang: ouch, yes. (RSS-reading Mefites Unite!)

tarheelcoxn: that's what they said about Facebook - but one has to accept a friend request before one could be stalked. Not sure if the circumstances change here or not...

MeTa post: MeFi Mail refresh
I'm not sure if this is done already or not (I have no friends), but can we have it so that if mefimail is forwarded to email, and the sending member makes their email address public, the Reply-To: on the generated email is set to that address? That way, we can just hit reply and get to them directly!

Ooh, ooh, I just got a mail! And, cortex, it didn't do what I want! How come other people ponies get delivered doubleplus quick?

MeTa post: HAH, you're OLD.
Oh man, I just can't wait to see him pop in and post:

Happy Birthday, Matt!

And no one would even notice it was him.

MeTa post: You're ignorant
This sounds like a lot of fun. For programming languages, I think, we should learn the on-standard ones. I'd love a strutted structured place to learn Lisp, Scheme, Haskell, Erlang, or Smalltalk. One of those 'weird' languages...

MeTa post: del.icio.us profiles
bkudria's del.icio.us links.

You'll find all manner of things, but a large number of graphic design, CSS and general webdev, Ruby, business, and lots of other cool stuff.

Excellent idea.

MeTa post: Fortuitou.us
I don't. I tried clicking the link on the page linked that lead to the inaugural post, but the overlay didn't let me. This was only exacerbated by my scroll wheel not working. I had to use the physical scrollbar!

With that said, I liked the content and I'll keep reading. I love the fact that my RSS reader removes any site-specific breakage.

MeTa post: New UI feature: resizable textareas
I use that browser, ALongDecember. It would be nice if it at least went back to the normal size, I'm not asking about getting the cool resizing feature, even. Don't break my Mefi!

MeTa post: This is a great example of why the 'favorites'...
If it's any consolation, Matt, it works fine in Konqueror (which shares code with Safari). I think it would be a nice addition, except for the colors.
