I need a daily work schedule to get me through a PhD. I am really bad at managing large amounts of unstructured time. I'm trying to draw up a daily schedule which factors in all the different things I need to do - writing, reading, library, sorting out notes etc. It should be easy, but I'm struggling - any tips, examples?

Can you recommend any sites which list (or allow easy searches for) villas/cottages/apartments in Europe that are accessible without a car? I've found a couple for Italy
here and
here - any other suggestions?

I'm looking for blogs where people are cooking their way through all the recipes in a particular book or by a particular chef e.g.
Kathryn Cooks with Jamie and
The Next Nigella. Do you know of any others?

If you could only cook recipes from one cookbook ever again, which cookbook would you choose? I'm looking to slim down my large, useless cookbook collection and instead invest in one or two that have lots of cookable, consistently good and useful recipes.

I'm writing a document in Word and it has started capitalising all the words that begin in I, so I'm getting lots of Irritating sentences like this which are very Inconvenient. I've checked the autotext, autocorrect etc which all seem OK - possibly something to do with the dictionary as the I words are not being flagged up by the spellcheck? Or have I got some weird I virus?

I'm looking for a box/cupboard/whatever that can store all my household electronic bits and bobs (ipods, moblie phones, PDA, digital camera etc) in one place without them, the cables and the accessories getting tangled up. I've thought those junk drawer organisers with lots of different sized compartments might work, but they're not big enough and I'd prefer something stand alone. Something that could accommodate a multi-plug socket and hide all the cables would be even better. Any ideas?

I'm looking for recommendations for wine that is naturally low in alcohol (as opposed to the dealcoholised versions). There are quite a few German wines in the 7-8% ABV category e.g. by Dr Loosen but they are (a) a bit sweet and (b) very very expensive. Anyone got any other suggestions?

Can you recommend a good restaurant in Bruges? Am visiting for 2 days and want to make the most of the four eating out opportunities. Would prefer local cuisine and not too expensive, but any cuisine and budget considered...

I have five weeks to train for a 10 mile run. I did the same distance last year in 90 mins and have been running about 3 times a week for about 30 mins since, but have been on holiday for last three weeks, no exercise and loads of eating and drinking. I need a emergency training programme to get me ready - any advice?

Help needed with Italian to English translation. I emailed an restaurant in Italy to ask for a reseravation in Italian (cut and paste from a phrasefinder) - they have emailed back to confirm booking (that bit I understand) but have run the next bit through babelfish and still don't understand what they mean...

I have far too many bags (work, gym, travel etc) and am always leaving things behind when I transfer stuff from one bag to another. I am looking for a small bag that is just big enough for the essentials (phone, keys, purse, PDA, pens, glasses) that I can transfer from one bag to another or can carry on its own if needed. Availability in or delivery to UK essential. Any suggestions?

Can anyone recommend any poems about university life? It is for a book group where we're reading some campus novels and we're looking for a poem on the same subject.

I'm looking for a counter to put on a powerpoint slide that will count up to a number of my choosing. Is there such a thing? I want to be able to say e.g. there are surprising number of widgets in this country and then have the counter ticking up as I'm tallking and then stop at the right number. Variable speed would be good, in case I need big numbers. Any ideas?

I don't seem to get very excited or enthusiatic or joyful or amazed about anything any more. How do I get that "exuberant enjoyment of life" feeling, or does it just wear off as you get older?

I have had a pretty unhealthy lifestyle for several years - too much alcohol and coffee, not enough sleep and exercise and its all catching up with me - I feel old and knackered. I know long term changes are needed but I'm also looking for some quick fixes to get me motivated. Any tips for quick and easy changes that will have a big impact?
