I need a kick arse recipe for pork and beans that's slow cooker compatible. I've tried a few found via google with lack luster results, so now I'm looking for something tried and true.

My boyfriend got this
mystery object in his Christmas cracker and the family was stumped. What is it supposed to be?

What are some low fat snacks I can take with me travelling and keep in my suitcase to eat when dinner or other meals weren't suitable? Little to no preparation at time of eating is preferred but I can make or buy stuff before I go.

Can we please have an extra hour added to the server offset options in our profiles to give +21? Now that all the time changes have shaken out for the summer I'm an hour off.

Is there time before Christmas for an Auckland (NZ) MeFi meetup? Or is everyone too far into end of year festivities and already booked up? I have some free evenings here and there and would love to get together before going camping.

How much does it cost to see a denist in Auckland, New Zealand? Is the university dental clinic really cheaper or should I shop around?

Photos from the Auckland meetup last Saturday. Only a few picutures there sorry, although I take my camera everywhere I'm missing the photographers instinct and generally forget to use it.

Auckland meet up this weekend? As a follow up to
this call for a barbeque in Cornwall Park this weekend, do we have enough people keen? Did we decide a day? Is it going to rain?
(being Auckland we can be sure of a yes to the last question at least).

Please help me get the lint and grossness out of my hairbrush.
I've had this problem for several years now, my hair brush gets full of what looks like dryer lint. I'm assuming it's a combination of dust, cat hair and lint from my clothing. Actual hair isn't a problem, I can pull that out easily enough, but this stuff wraps around the bristles and gets stuck in there. Please help me clean it out because I'm sick of buying a new brush every six months.
