Serving tray for breakfast in bed, in the Perth metro area?

This is a question for people in Perth, Australia. Does anyone know where I can buy a (nice-looking) serving tray with fold out legs for breakfast in bed?

Added a procedure or product to Australia's Medicare?

Are there any public advocacy groups in Australia to help people with debilitating illnesses get new medical products and procedures added to Medicare?

Stuffed crocodiles hanging from the ceiling?

For a friend: Looking for a story, or possibly book, or possibly series of books. The only thing they remember is that at one point the protagonist(s) visit a wizard or magician for help. He has a stuffed crocodile hanging from the ceiling.

Transformers reference pics wanted, thanks.

I want to paint the miniatures in a Transformers boardgame as a gift for a friend. Can people please point me to reference images for the models in this pic? The more, the merrier. TIA.

Best with a microwave

I'm looking for a recommendation for a microwave cookbook. I want it to be about what the microwave is best at, not just how to hack normal stuff to work in the microwave. Perhaps a book on how to do things that are only possible with a microwave.

Do you know this music clip?

For a friend: So there's this music video clip [they] used to see in the last 10 years or so on Rage, can't really remember if it was 90's or early 00's. It was a dance track of some kind, possibly techno. It was in the style of a monster B movie. I think it was black and white.

Vague music help: 19-something, a something to something

Vague music filter: I'm trying to find a song I can barely remember. I think it was dance/electronica. Probably early 90s. I think it was by an individual artist, not a group. A/the year featured heavily in the lyrics (ie; 19-something, a something to something) and I seem to remember the music video feeling like it was shot in the guy's basement. This was a hit (more or less) in Australia. There may have been a vocoder involved. Help?

VPN appliance?

I'd like to start using public WiFi spots, but I don't trust them even a tiny bit. The solution I like best is to have some sort of VPN appliance on my home network, so the first thing I do when I connect to public WiFi is VPN to home.

Recording critters at the zoo, need a good recorder

I need recommendations for a digital video recorder designed for multiple video inputs, including sound, (four cameras point at an animal enclosure at a zoo) that's designed to allow for easy access to the videos recorded. Networkable would be really great, or standard removable storage (USB/SATA). I'd prefer it if the device recorded directly in a standard video format so no conversion from a proprietary format is needed.

Smallest folding bicycle folding trailer

I'm looking for a folding bicycle trailer. That's a trailer that folds up and connects to a bicycle (though it coincidentally will be connected to a folding bicycle, so I guess it's a folding bicycle folding trailer). Anyway, the main thing is that it needs to fold up really small. Please point me to the smallest, when folded, bicycle trailer you know about. Thanks.

Cycling to work, how do you manage clothes?

I'm looking for tips from people who ride a bike to work. I have the bike, and the work, what I'm looking for are the practicalities of coping with the sweatiness; showering, changing, keeping clothes at work, or travelling with them.

Guide to Tivoli backup in O'Reilly cookbook style?

Does anyone have a practical guide for IBM's Tivoli Storage Manager (Express)? Specifically restoring. I'm particularly after a step by step guide to restoring an entire server after a major hardware failure or disaster.

A guide to exercise. Somewhere between sport and diet there's a big hole with exercise in it.

Can anyone recommend any resources (websites, books, magazines, whatever) that are a practical guide to using popular home exercise equipment such as assorted stretchy tubing or those squeezy hand spring things?

Please make it out to "ebay"

Hayden Panettiere will be attending a local SciFi expo thing. Where I live doesn't get many of these, so I'll definitely be going. I'd like to find something unusual for her to sign, assuming she'll be signing stuff. Has anyone got any suggestions?

I'm looking for any good Nintendo DS games that are unusual, particularly innovative or just plain weird. In a genre of their own kinds of stuff.

Overscanning in order to fit in ads?

At the height of the "earn money viewing ads" craze there was a (PC-only) program that hacked the VGA driver, in Windows I think, to add a few extra lines in which to display ads. This would still give you, say, 640x480 for normal stuff with 20 or so lines added for an ad bar that went across the top or bottom of the screen. Does anyone have any pointers to information about it that survives on the Web?

Caps made in Australia?

I'm looking for some plain (single colour, something basic, no logos -- I'll be sewing my own patch onto them) baseball cap style hats that are made in Australia. Bonds tell me they don't make them and, off hand, I don't know any other Australian clothing brands that manufacture locally. Does anyone know an Australian label for baseball caps that actually makes them in Australia?

HD DRM + PCs. Sort out yet?

Screwed network, Help.

We have a bunch of PCs that all connect to the rest of the network through a single switch and fiber link. They're all having problems with slow networking and database links breaking. This is what Task Manager's Networking tab shows when we copy a single 80MB file down from the server. Does anyone recognise the problem?

At first I thought it might be paint...

I was in an office today where a window had been converted into a whiteboard by installing a translucent white film on the outside of the glass. Does anyone know what to ask for to get something like this? Bonus points if you can point to a supplier in Western Australia.

Can't work with them, can't work without them

How do you deal with, in a work setting, an incompetent individual or department? For the purposes of this question, assume that they provide an essential service, or would if they actually provided it, and can not be ignored or worked around. And for the purposes of libel, assume this is hypothetical.

You must be at least this smart...

About half a dozen years ago a cartoon popped up where I used to work that had "You must be at least this smart to use the Internet" with a sliding scale that included humans, some sort of ape or monkey and one or two simpler forms of life. Can anyone point me to it?

Trailers (not the movie kind)

I'm thinking of getting a towbar and (camper) trailer, but I have two questions: How do I make sure that the trailer sits level when connected to my car, and why does the towing capacity of the car appear to have no reference to the total weight of the car and trailer and load in both?

Career development via business development?

I like where I work and I want to help the place grow, but I'm the IT guy and not much of a people person -- or at least, my idea of what management is about doesn't match the current style. I no longer want to climb the management ladder, instead I want to be involved in business development stuff, specifically ways to use modern technology for both marketing and core business. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Engagement/Wedding paired gifts?

A number of years back I gave a pair of Swatches like these as a wedding gift. It's hard to tell from the photo, but one watch has the hours, the other has the minutes. They belong together so much that they barely function separately. I have a bunch of wedding-related gifts to give in the near future. Can anyone recommend paired things in a similar vein?
