ok! we have our first 9/11 post on 9/11. let's...
Isn't this "finger in the dyke" attitude a little defeatist for a community weblong like MeFi? It's like we're policing content.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not interested in mindless 9/11 babble or a rehash of imagery and chat from the last year (my TV is off today!). But to suggest by one's disdain for any 9/11 post that there is nothing interesting, new, nor insightful being said today about a subject so major is simply, well, simplistic in my book.

Actually, kirkaracha, that's the first time I've ever used that phrase. From the dictionary:

If you want to be clever in smirking at the other definitions of dyke, be my guest. But if you do, you might miss the point.

Would it be kosher to ask people what they are doing? I know there's a nix on posting personal URLs. But I would like to know who and where to look.
If you want... [more]

Thanks for your suggestions Shane. A good link would be a way to begin on MeFi. Now I need to find someone whose written on bloggers' "coverage" of 9/11 and 9/11 +1...
