School is a good place to learn how to teach or to build a stronger portfolio. Are either of those your goals?

1 ct is probably too large for a tension setting (you need a lot of metal around the stone in those settings to keep enough pressure on the stone and to make sure a bump won't be able to knock the rock out) and there would be a hugely thick band involved.

As long as you aren't wearing a speedo, that thing could be anywhere in your suit and any size. We wouldn't be able to tell.

I don't think the kids need to know this. Being a good parent involves selflessness. Yeah that place looks like it is is right next to NYU, which means they definitely card so they don't get in trouble having tons of underage college students in there all the time. The police presence on Macdougal is pretty heavy at night for just that reason. I'd say getting in is unlikely without some form of ID.

If you don't have your own washer/dryer and you go to a laundromat, have them do the laundry for you instead of you doing it yourself. This one thing has made the biggest difference in how I spend my weekends and how much time i have to do the things I want to do.
It's not that much more expensive, and for $5 I get to have 1/4 of my weekend back.

I think the magic word you might need size-wise is "hobo." It's what I call "big enough for a book and a sandwich."

Hi, former geoarchaeologist here.
You can't carbon-date rocks. You can only carbon-date things that have organic material in them.
Even if you could date that rock (which you can with other techniques), I don't think it would tell you anything interesting. The rock material could be hundreds of thousands of years old, but the small piece of it that you have could have taken its pebble form at any point.

Plywood will work great- if your table has a lip then you'll need to measure how deep your wood + tile combo should be. I think most tiles are 1/8 inch deep but you should measure them too, and then find a piece of plywood that will make up the difference in depth.

If she is worried to the point of panicking, maybe you should encourage her to take hormonal birth control as well instead of trying to convince her with statistics.
It might also be helpful to talk rationally about what would happen if she did become pregnant. What would you each want and what would her choices be?

Unless you love the pants and think you can't find something similar in your new size, I think it would be better to start fresh with some new clothes.

I've dyed a few shirts before and they've come out well, but I wouldn't recommend getting all fancy with many colors or your already 70's-ish dress is going to come out looking like a tie-dye disaster.

It can be resized, but it is much more complicated than resizing a plain band because of the pattern (the jeweler will have to create or find a piece to fit in with or match your unusual band) and the diamonds (they will have to be removed and reset once the new piece is fitted in).

Sometimes I miss things I've given away.
I do 2x/year clothing exchange party where all the leftovers go to the Salvation Army.
Occasionally I stop and say to myself "Where's that f-ing purple shirt?" and then I remember I gave it away.
This happens about once or twice a year, so I think in the end it is still worth it to get rid of stuff.
When I miss an item, I go buy a similar replacement.
Which reminds me, I need to go get some olive and orange sneakers...
