I'm freelance with contracts that come and go. These are not my current work spaces, but you get the idea. It usually looks something like that. Sometimes messier, sometimes neater. My home office desk is too messy to share with the big bad world.

I think this is a reasonable outcome. The board had to act against Holden's actions but also demonstrate that they were not wrong to follow him initially. Demoting him shows some faith in his ideas and hopefully helps donors from bailing.

I've only been a member of in-person writing groups organized by companies I trusted. (Or mostly trusted. Or was compensated to trust.) In any case, just wondering how online writing groups work. What is the primary focus? Motivation to hit deadlines? Feedback on material? Sharing of information/opportunities? Something else entirely?

The reason that Matt is frustrated because people have asked for the messaging system. Repeatedly. (He links it all above.) There is no big outcry in those threads, because users didn't realize that this would replace emails in profiles, it was assumed to be an addition. It's not change that is jarring, it is the lack of choice of including emails.

I gave my speech. It was funny. Thanks for the help. I achieved what I wanted: making people laugh and not tripping over my gown. What I didn't know was that I was having a meeting with someone who was in the audience the very next morning.
