Layered solo instrumental using just a guitar and a loop pedal.

When I first started playing the guitar I was obsessed with Jimi Hendrix (okay I still am). I spent hours learning as many solos as I could and listened to the blues album over and over again. At the end of the day though, this has always been my favourite Hendrix song. It's beautifully understated, short and sweet!

My first one in for the mefimusicchallenge! I won't get a chance to play with this before the end of the month so I'm going to post it as is, I think there's a lot more that can be done with it (aside from generally cleaning it up a bit) but I'd love to hear what you guys think!

This is a song from the same sessions as
this one but featuring the
full band . In the end the band weren't happy with the final recordings but I'm quite happy with this one!

A real dirty blues track about murder, complete with slide guitar solo and a nice heavy beat. It's still a rough mix so will have to tweak a few bits and pieces.

A cover of the Rory Gallagher track. I decided to learn this tune instead of doing some proper work today. I think I definitely need to find where I put that pop shield....

A wonderfully sloppy version of an old Irish folk tune, recorded for the laugh, wherin an old man goes into a pub and is told to hit the road until he produces a shilling and is told to stay til morning!

This is an old-ish one from when I was first learning Cubase and Reason. Ambient-ish electronic type stuff!

This is me basically trying to sound like Queens of the Stone Age. New song fresh off the press...

I've been out of the game for a while, so I thought I'd warm up by covering the Kraftwerk classic acoustically. I thought I'd try some alliteration aswell...

Wrote this one after buying myself a shiny new midi controller. Tapped out a beat and played some chords over it and realised it sounded a bit like
Duke Special, which is no bad thing so I ran with it. This is a rough mix/version so any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated!

A song from a recording session I did with my brother's band (He's the singer). The band is called
Beautiful Blonde Pineapple!

The title comes from the Clint Eastwood movie but God only knows what that has to do with the track....

Another version of Elliott Smith's Waltz#2 for Cortex. This is only a rough mix unfortunately so tis a little rough around the edges with plenty of mistakes and whatnot, but a deadline's a deadline!!

Ambient haunting seascape type piece. It's nice in an "I'm going to throw myself off the top of this cliff" type of way.

FERB - 'Funky Electronic Rhythm n' Blues' is a little blues track I wrote and performed for a small class gig we did last year for the sake of putting on a show and having some random musical collaborations. I'd classify this as the first gig I ever did but fortunately I had some incredibly talented guys in the band to make me sound good!

Just for fun, here's a track recorded for an electro-acoustic composition assignment entitled 'A Question of Taste.' Not sure there's much else that can be said about it.

The result of the production from hell. Another track I did for an assignment in college. The week this was due in I had four other assignments due, and was suffering a creative block, so by the time I'd finally finished mastering the track I'd gone over 30 hours without sleep for the second time that week. Thankfully after I handed it up that morning I was able to sleep right through to the afternoon the following day....good times!

Something a bit different. Vocal samples (mine) cut up and arranged in a sort of chorale form against a bluesy backdrop.

The first track I recorded for my college course (so technically the first track I recorded properly...sort of). The brief was to record a track using layered vocals - 24 vocal tracks in all. I dug out this old song (think I was about 16 or 17 when I wrote it) to do the job.

This is a stereo fold-down mix of a track written for a 5.1 surround sound setup. The idea was to show the evolution of blues/rock music in parallel with the evolution of musical space going from mono to stereo to surround. Still works fairly well in stereo though!

An ambient-ish piece composed entirely of processed flute samples. I go by the name Tx-Rx for the electronica type stuff I do occasionally 'cos, you know, it's fun to have multiple musical personae.

It's all there in the title! I was inspired to upload this one thanks to
Buriednexttoyou's use of the HumptyDumpty Tag in
this excellent track!

It's a Demo I recorded last summer at home which is probably one of my better ones. It's also the first song I recorded under the stage name 'Teebor'.
