Ghost
Wow... I wondered back on to MeFi Music today after a long absence, hoping to find some wheat amongst the chaff (I'm sadly harder to please than I used to be, as far as music is concerned) and instead struck gold.
The composition of the song is fantastic to start, but the vocals are unbelievable. Strong and fragile all at once. Please keep posting. I loved this.

The Marching Glum
Not a long story. This was the first song I wrote when I got my first guitar when I was fifteen. The musical structure has always remained the same, but I've rewritten the lyrics to sort of poke fun at my fifteen-year-old self. That's it.

We had the Drums and Bass in one room, and the guitars in a booth together. Then I overdubbed the vocals.

Gorgeous and bittersweet. Thanks for posting it. One of the few things I love about the NY music scene (I love NY, just not the scene) is the glut of talented female vocalists. Our radio stations may suck, and every club has their band space in a basement or back-room so that anyone just wandering in won't hear any of it, but we've got the women, and they can sing. Good luck to you finding someone, I think it'd sound great with your stuff.

Also, for all you NYC-ers out there, we'll be playing at Club Midway in the east village tomorrow night (4/3, 10:00), and we'd love to see you all there. Hell, say you're there for some other band if this feels like we're pimping ourselves too much - we just wanna meet y'all in the flesh. Thanks again.

Summon My Jesus
Oh, most definitely!
The EP title is Cleveland Panda Rampage, which should give you more than enough to work with! It comes from the fact that our band used be be called 21 Gun Solution, but then we found out (partially via a MeFi music thread that pissed a few people off) that there was a shit-core band in Cleveland with the same name, so we changed it, but a friend/fan who liked the old name designed an album cover for us with a creepy looking panda and named it that,... Also, I should mention that it was a MeTa thread. Sorry for the confusion. Afroblanco and I still believe that MeFi music should contain a spot for people to announce big band dates for others to show up, but this was not available at the time (nor is it now)

Well, Ira, that's what I was taking my influence from when I wrote it, so thanks. Seriously, thanks.
