Pop Psychology: Type A / Type B Personalities
There are two kinds of people in the world: type A walks around with bowls of shit looking for someone to stir it up. Type B walks around with a stick looking to stir shit up.

Fat Ass
Will it cause an increase in male eating disorders?
I don't think it will. I've talked about eating disorders here in the past, and the fashion industry does nothing more than fetishize a look, which by extension makes having an eating disorder almost acceptable (all bad things, yes, but promotion of disordered eating to the public? no). Having a full-blown eating disorder begins within, not without. It's about emotions, not pants size. The fashion... [more]

Meanwhile, to get the metallic aftertang of canned cheeseburger out of your mouth, try a handful of Bacon Mints.
Make sure to wash it down with a shot of Bacon Vodka.

The OCD Post
I have undiagnosed OCD. Sometimes I forget that I have it, as these are just things that I've always done, until someone asks me why I'm counting my steps, or I won't step on the cracks on the sidewalk. Generally no one notices though. It will stay undiagnosed simply because I don't need someone to tell me what I'm doing is obsessive-compulsive.
As a child, the worst was that I wanted everything to be even. Anything that happened to one side of my body I *had* to do to... [more]

Ha ha ha 15 favorites, you guys are so freaking awesome.
Funky Helix, I do the same thing! I don't want my food to touch. At. All. And I go batshit insane if the two foods are morphed (like cole slaw on top of the barbecue sandwich. What sick fuck thought that up?!). I actually seriously considered joining the military because a friend had told me that all of the plates were divided.

I'm not freaking out about the favorites. Things that are beyond my control I don't pay too much attention to. Unless you guys are OCD about it, in which case, carry on.
And OCD can be funny. Just read David Sedaris. I remember laughing hysterically reading about how his shoe called to him to be tapped on his forehead, no one would notice; or that he -had- to touch a lawn ornament. (Even funnier, I was arranging m&m's by color (first brown, then yellow, orange, red,... [more]

I find clowns terrifying. I dislike it when I can't see people's faces to judge their expression (I also hate mall Santas and Easter Bunnies, the Burger King, and anyone else whose face I can't see for the same reason), and clowns are the worst. That smile? That smile is painted on. He's not really happy. That fucker could be thinking anything, he could attack at any moment and you'd never expect it because he'd still have that smile.... Wow, I'm on a list. Hang on, let me call my mom...
I see this as exactly the same. Guy makes throwaway sarcasm, troll, or whatever it was; is busted because even though he isn't a wife-beater school-shooter-upperer, he might be read by one, whose tendencies to school-shooting-upping will be embiggened by what for him was merely some kind of throwaway line.
How cromulent of you.

The majority of my house guests swear up and down my apartment is haunted. If a relative stays too long, I just bring this up and suddenly they're leaving, and for their next visit they've thoughtfully reserved a hotel room. "Having a ghost" can have it's benefits.

Anyway, looking at the dancer, if I told myself she moved clockwise, she moved clockwise, and if told myself she moved counter-clockwise, she did. I'm 5'8". At my lowest, I had a BMI of 14.6 (96lbs - underweight). At my heaviest, I had a BMI of 25.8 (170lbs - obese). At the moment, I've a BMI of 21.7 (143lbs - normal).
General consensus is that I look the healthiest and most attractive I ever have at my current weight. But I won't lie, I wish I were in the 100 - 120 range during swimsuit season.

yhbc: yes, it's the only state. I worked there when the big thing was opening up into New Jersey to sell insurance. It'll probably never happen in Massachusetts.
Occasionally they would test out the new ad spots on the employees. For every great or funny commercial you see, there were at least four REALLY SHITTY commercials that never aired to make up for.

Why do men pee standing up?
Funnily enough, I just got this as an email forward. Sorry for the length:
COPIED FROM A NEWS GROUP POSTING (the male author was responding to a woman who accidentally walked into the men's restroom):
Please don't feel bad. It wasn't you entering the men's washroom that caused that guy to pee on the guy next to him. Hell, we do that all the time. It's rare for us guys to ever hit what were aiming for. Sometimes I go into the washroom, start to... [more]

Ugh. One of the beers on the "50 best in my area" lists North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout.
I tried this once. It tasted like rotten soy sauce. I had to put it at another table and cover it with a menu to dampen the smell of it. I still have nightmares about that beer.
