Oh my god. I am forever just missing meetups everywhere. However, I CAN TOTALLY MAKE IT TO THIS. I find it incredibly disappointing that EB is so disenchanted with MeFi, and yet I (sadly) completely understand it. He was such an asset to the site, to the often contentious discussions about feminism and institutional oppression, and articulated his arguments and ideas with such thoughtfulness (a thoughtfulness towards which I aspire as an academic).

cortex, put that old saw away!! Greasemonkey is becoming the bane of my mefi existence. It is referenced and suggested as a panacea for so many site woes, pony requests, etc etc. Suggestions for Greasemonkey + me = :(

HOORAY! I like that screenshot, too, mathowie, but could we make the "poster" highlight a different color altogether? Doing so would grab one's attention more readily, as it wouldn't get lost amidst all the yellow that already exists as links on the page.

The issue I have with the various GreaseMonkey scripts is that (a) not everyone uses them, which in turn (b) prevents their full functionality from being realized. I think that implementing this "OP Response" feature would be helpful to all mefites, OPs and answering mefites alike: on one hand, it allows the OP to clarify or append additional, pertinent information to their question, and on the other hand would prevent those responses that overlook the OP's additional information... Jess, Matt, Cortex, PB: what say you about this? I think that this feature would be really, really helpful. For instance, I just posted this update to my original post, and had no way of differentiating it from the rest of the responses. I tried using a "font color=" tag to distinguish it from the rest of the text, but this was filtered out (har) during Live Preview.

This is great, and I really like the ability to play the songs available on MeMu. However, it appears as though I cannot post a comment/response using mobile.mefi. Is this common to all mobile devices accessing the site this way? Will comment-posting be a feature available in the future?

Also, something about this horse having cavities and me being a spoiled and ungrateful child.

There were some fantastic illustrative clips (along the lines of How Crayons are Made) about the wonders of sugar made from sugar beets. There was also one about apple juice (I vividly remember the apples being pushed through a rolling press, and apple juice draining into a vat).

Does anyone know where I might find these clips? I've been looking for them FOR YEARS!

I'll jump on the bandwagon and request some smaller sizing (though don't make them baby-doll shirts. I hate baby-doll shirts!). I wear a women's S/M, so if you could work something out with your printer, that would be fantastic. Also, I'm most frequently on the green, so echoing Mister_A, I'd love to see an AskMefi shirt!
