I just bought some Lyle's Golden Syrup, and realized that I have no idea what to do with it. This being my first ever can of the stuff, I'm looking for easy and tasty things to do with it.

haloweenfilter: I think that I am going to be Rod Stewart from the "Young Turks" video, and seeing as how the version of the music video on youtube is such poor quality, I thought that I would check here to see if anyone could help me figure out exactly what he was wearing.

Zippofilter: I recently bought a 1976 Zippo knockoff at an antique store for $3. It has a wick and flint, but is completely out of oil. The problem is that the aluminum has oxidized and is so jammed in there that i can't remove it for refilling. Does anyone know a way to get it out?

I like the new /random in the sidebar, but all I use it for is to try and find good flameouts on the grey. Could there be a /flame, so I can have something to do on a rainy day?

Musicfilter: I was listening to Indie 103.1 (a Los Angeles radio station) and a song came on where it seemed that half of it was a strange narration of a Martian invasion. If any of you know what I'm talking about, I'd be grateful. The narrating was in a serious, NPR kind of voice... if that helps.

Help me remember the name of a show that I used to watch! It was a sort of futuristic (possibly post-apocalyptic) gladiator arena where the contestants fought in large (think gundam wing) sized battle suits that couldn't fly. I remember watching it in the 90's as a youngin. It was all 3d computer animation, around the same time (I think) as the transformers: beast wars series.
