Hey, just got back into town and caught the meetup announcement. I am interested in whichever day, though it does indeed look like the 24th will be Obama, and I am eager to do to that. They still don't know where it will be though.
Max and Moritz isn't too expensive, it's got plenty of space, and it's not too far away from most places, so I think it's a good pick.

If the IP address works, but you need the http request to be to 'www.metafilter.com' for the virtual host to work, you can bypass the DNS lookup by adding www.metafilter.com to your /etc/hosts file. When you're blinded your love for someone else, its hard to get that perspective. You know that other point of view is there, but you can't tell which argument is real and which is your own rationalization.
