I have to say I don't GET why they parked on the street. That's just such a basic tour no-no. Even my friends in indie bands with crappy gear don't do that. Not to mention, the Embassy Suites has valet parking and is in a not-fantastic area a block from the highway outta town. Nothing excuses the theft but dudes... with decades of touring experience you should really know not to leave all your gear in a truck on the street overnight.

I'm the only person who's ever cleaned the bathroom and sorted all the trash out of the recycling. But there are eight bands plus at least another 20 who've used that space and I can only do so much. It's like when I've lived with dudes -- I would just end up feeling bitter that no one else is helping. Fortunately my kit is by the back door so I open that up for air when I'm not playing. It doesn't help that part of my room (the space is divided in half) is carpeted, so I worry about mold a bit... [more]
