Can Sonicwall TZ170's be swapped out after hardware failure like ordinary routers, or are things more complicated than that?

File and folder permissions on Windows Small Business Server 2003: what's the right way to set up a shared folder so it can only be accessed by a particular group?

IANA IT professional, but I need to move our SQL Server database from one server to another server. I can't get the DSN connections to work now that we're on the new server; can you please hold my hand?

DNS and Small Business Server and Caches, oh my: We switched web hosts at work (and waited a few days for things to propagate), but from the office network I still see the site on the old host. Can anyone help me understand DNS caching, Active Directory, and all the other bits and bobs that go along with the mysterious world of Windows networks?

Any advice or resources on best practices when designing printed forms in InDesign CS2? I have a registration form to design (and will have several dozen others to redesign in the new year) and would like to do things right the first time.

European disposable mobile phones: My parents, who are American, are going to Edinburgh, London & Paris later this week. They've asked me what I know about disposable/rentable phones since their phones won't work over there. I know nothing. So now I'm asking all of you: What do you know about good deals on disposable/rentable phones in the UK & France? (I believe they're looking to use the phones for a period of 7-10 days, and if it makes things simpler I think they are willing to do without during the French portion of the trip if necessary)

Evaluating a "closed" online community: I really like the magazine
Cook's Illustrated. Their website is private and requires an annual membership, above and beyond the magazine subscription. So, anyone know what the website is like? Is it worth the fee? And, as a more general question, are there any good sites that offer reviews/information/evaluations of sites that are locked away behind membership fees?

So I'm 27 years old and taking the road test to get my (New Jersey) driver's license this week. Since most everyone I know took it, oh, about 10 years ago, I'm feeling a bit nervous when it comes to the little details of the test. If I mess up parallel parking, I can't make a single other error; so tell me, mefites, what did you screw up on while taking your driving test?

Every time I load a Windows Media file on my OS X system, I am momentarily redirected to a file called "AOLTemp.html" on the site hosting the file. I don't use AOL; the files are not hosted by AOL; a Google search turns up nothing on that filename. What are these mysterious AOLTemp files strewn across the 'net, and what kind of MS-AOL conspiracy have I uncovered?? (Just kidding on the conspiracy bit. And for further clarification: I use Safari as my browser & WMP 9.0 for playback in these cases)

Hi! Monkey!
is one of the funniest, cutest sites I've seen in a long time. I was really surprised it hadn't been 'filtered before (correct me if I'm wrong). If you need a little break in your day for something goofy, it's a good place to turn. Personal fave: the pictures of him going Trick-or-Treating...
