Where's the beef?
That's a poor design choice to not include pictures of the icons.

Steve McQueen was one of Bruce's students.
The 30th Anniversary Box Set looks great. People who can't get that box set might wanna check out Bruce Lee: Warrior's Journey, which contains the original ending to the Game of Death. The recovered footage is roughly 40 minutes long and well worth it.

xmutex, ditto.
Why do people feel the need to link to another very losely-related thread on the same day? If you're gonna do this xFilter stuff, at least post something supporting your snarky link.

Although America's form may suggest a feminine or neuter gender, it's become an aloof, rich bastard father.

Where the street meets the beats
I care, bureau. I've always wondered 'bout the names dropped in 50's Ghetto Qur'an. Well in item 11, there's a mention of "Gerald 'Prince' Miller" as the lieutenant of McGriff's drug op. And in the Ghetto Qur'an, you have this:
Yo, when you hear talk of the southside, you hear talk of the team
See niggas feared Prince and respected Preme
For all you slow muthafuckas I'm a break it down... [more]

shadow, his image (former hustler, shot 9 times, etc) definitely boosted sales of Get Rich or Die Tryin', but from what I gather, he was pretty big before Eminem signed him. I listened to Power of a Dollar, and it's a solid album, if not better than Get Rich.
I'd say that 50's one of the more humourous rappers, too. I don't take rap too seriously, so I found the video for Wanksta to be funny-cute with the two kids bouncin'. And then there's that line "I love you... [more]

goethean, hell yeah.
While Moby's Area:Two was quite a flopp, Dieselboy came out after his set so I got a signature and a hug from him. Also got one from Mr. Joshua Davis when he gave a talk at my school last month.

I just have a tendancy to hug people whom I respect a lot or admire.... and hot art chicks. ;)

So I was at this garba-thing last weekend, and they played a remix of Tunak, Tunak, Tun, and the entire dancefloor went crazy!!!
Seriously, though, they did play Tunak.

I've heard that the Earth is a giant organism, and it will self-regulate, but this emphasized that idea with the distribution of heat and dynamic equilibrium. It's like Eastern philosophy with karma.

Twiggy, I apologize for the stereotype. The times I've gone to raves or anything with electronica, I've never done anything just 'cause the music itself is uplifting enough. Hell, I've never even touched a cigarette 'til two weekends ago, and that was merely to pass it to the chick next to me.

And now that I think about it, we could've just searched through the archives and looked at the strips 'round Halloween time. I looked through all the October 31st's, but came up emtpy, then I noticed that it was "10-21" on the scan.... geesh.
