Update: I ended up going for it with a deft combination of my left index and middle fingers. Itchy nerve trigger area has been reduced by 85%, but there may be chance of exacerbation as the day progresses. Bits of encrusted dust and mucus within the nostril itself are forecast later in the afternoon, at which point previous suggestions of various solution implements will be revisted.

Agreed. The hack my baby question was probably the shark jumper here. I like the idea of viewing meatspace objects and activities as software, hardware, and processes and it's interesting to see how computer use has changed our entire metaphorical outlook, but enough with the "hack my bunghole" stuff already.
