I had to go straight to #1 just to make sure Bass-o-Matic got it. Thank goodness. Psyched that Jewess Jeans and Little Chocolate Donuts were in the top ten. I also have a real soft spot for the Jane Curtain Quarry Cereal commercial, as well, so I'm off to hunt for that. Basically, this is an awesome find.

I'm pretty sure this is the same documentary about G.G. Allin (really, how many can there be?) that I saw in 9th grade or so. It scared me. And possibly scarred me. I hesitate to ruin it for folks, but let's just say that msalt's tags on this post--heroin, blood, feces--say it all. Amazing, amazing stuff.

I agree that conservative and evangelical Christians and people from rural and midwestern parts of our country contribute more than their fair share of bigotry. Interactive fiction is rad and the documentary looks cool but it's a little soft focusy and light piano for a documentary about computer games. Totally the wrong feel unless it all ends in tragedy. Does it all end in tragedy?

This thread just doesn't do justice to IF if it doesn't mention Emily Short. Her work is frikken amazing, particularly (in my opinion) Bronze, although all of her interactive games definitely push the boundaries of normal text game interaction.

Agreed, Bronze is the bomb. Floatpoint as well. Also, it seems that in 2007 Emily Short's life still revolves around IF, which is cool in itself.

I totally agree with stupidsexyFlanders. This cheer is a complete wash because everyone is still spending the amount they were originally going to spend anyway. There's no material benefit whatsoever. What would really be holiday cheery is if each person tipped their barista generously.
