Well flapjax, the Flemish are more popular than you might think... A survey in the Netherlands last week indicated 77% of the Dutch would not mind a re-union with Flanders. But really, why would we Flemish want to join a nation who keeps reminding us we talk 'funny'?

disillusion? Now, you're talking funny! I have the feeling Belgium will last a bit longer, don't worry. Talk of separation and dissolution is trotted out every couple of years whenever a new political crisis arrives. I'm sure we'll work out another famous Belgian compromise this time as well.

Im rooting for Bulgaria and Ukraine, but I'm afraid Russia & Turkey will get a lot of votes. (in about 5 minutes all the 'Europe, I love you'-sentiments will revert to good ole political voting and bloc-forming)

Heh, nice to see the dutch word 'snoezelen' is being used worldwide. However, 'snoezelen' is the verb (to snoezel?). You snoezel in the 'snoezelruimte' (snoezel room?). And yes, I've been in one... very spacy indeed.

MeFi post: Boom! One day your car goes boom!

2007 is the year of Tintin (Hergé was born in 1907). Next to special Tintin stamp issues in several European countries and other activities to commemorate this occasion (see program), a "Tintin and cars" exhibition will be held in June at the International car show in Barcelona. I wonder which cars they'll manage to gather for this exhibition.
