I want to play games on my iPhone with these qualifications: I don't want to "jailbreak" it and I want to be able to play a game without having to connect to the apple web apps page every.frickin.time. I don't want another "concentration" game.
So, ideally: iphone games that I can download. I especially like Tetris-type puzzle or word games. Thanks, hivemind!

I have a blog on (new) Blogger, and somehow I have managed to remove the envelope icon for "comments" (which may explain why I never have any comments on my blog). Help! How did I do this, and how do I get it back? (link to blog, details inside)

I have come into some Amazon.com credit, and I want to spend it on the Fry/Laurie Jeeves series; although I have never seen it, I adore the Wodehouse books and the two stars so I don't see how I could go wrong! I can't afford all the episodes, though. Which season would you recommend to me, and why?

Where can I buy small bento boxes, or small lunch boxes or tins that would pass as bento boxes? I want to give them out at BlogHer with my business card inside. Bonus points for personalization options (but I think that will be over my budget).

My kitten, after being neutered, developed an upper respiratory infection, I took him to the vet, and it turned out he had feline herpes. The feline herpes and human herpes virus strains are different and cats cannot transmit this to humans and vice versa--at least according to all the reading and research I have done. And yet, for the last two weeks when my cat was sick, I have had a nasty case of shingles (yes, I was diagnosed, and it is definitely shingles). So, I'm asking, could these illnesses be related in some way, or is this completely a huge coincidence?

I am asking this for my kids I am writing a book and researching what would happen (both physiologically and on a larger scope) if pure nitroglycerin were injected into a cow, which (as we all know) is just brimming over with methane? [NOT COWIST]

Where can I find a downloadable version of Michael Murphey's classic, "Temple of the Sun" to download? Of course I am willing to pay for the copyrighted, legal, etc. version. But I would rather not have to buy the entire Swans Against the Sun CD to get this one song.
Also, HUGE Bonus Points if you can lead me to similar(?) songs which might interest my sons (see inside for more on this challenge).

I want a set of Discworld bookends for my Terry Pratchett collection. I'm particularly interested in Death, as I already have a gift set with the Librarian and Rincewind. I'm having trouble even finding the bookends online, and shipping directly from the UK would be pretty expensive, as they're heavy (naturally) and I'm in Florida. Where to look? How to get the best deal? Any help from the hive mind would be greatly appreciated!

Help me out, Hive Mind, with some excellent arguments in favor of pets in general and cats in particular, so I don't have to divorce my husband.

If a teenager is bitten by an armadillo and the skin is broken, shouldn't the animal be trapped to make sure it isn't rabid, or the teen be innoculated?

I just finished reading Scott Smith's "The Ruins" and loved it. I want to read more books like this (and his original "The Simple Plan"). Basically, I want all the suspense and horror, but the people have to seem real to me. I don't have to like them, I just want to know what they are thinking/feeling/fearing so that they aren't just numbers on some gorefest scoreboard. Bonus points if the author is semi-prolific, so I have choices for further reading. Help me, hive mind!

My son is entering that awkward teen stage and wants to put aside childish things. To that end, he would like to change his rather "kiddish" gamertag to something more intimidating (and less likely to be berated by his older sibling). Obviously, he's not looking for something like "Fluffy Wumpkins." He asked me to help him with suggestions for cool, edgy, threatening names. So, Hive mind, any ideas? Bonus points if it sounds particularly impressive or humiliating to the enemy after, "you were killed by..."

Can I do anything with this read-only USB flash drive, or should I just write it off as a lost cause?

I have three blogs. What communities will allow me to automatically send new blog entries to the community--say in a journal form?

PS3 Filter: is "Bully" for PS2 compatible with PS3? Can't find via compatibility list, hoping someone here can educate me. Also, which is the best headset to use with PS3 for online play, in terms of low-cost and ease of use? Specifically, for playing "Resistance: Fall of Man" with clan members online.

What reason would there be for a male to pass himself off as a woman on the internet? Should I tell my girlfriend her online confidante is actually a guy?

I've been out of work for a number of years, by choice, staying at home to raise my kids. I have a Bachelor's in Education with a minor in English from back in 19mumblemumbleyear, and even if it were up-to-date, my life has taken a different turn, and I don't feel that teaching is for me any more. With this kind of background, if I don't teach, I am pretty much, as one of my English teachers once put it, an "educated un-employable."
What further education do I need to be taken seriously as I re-enter the workforce?
