I would like to host a MeFi MeetUp as part of a larger fund-raising event for a non-profit organization. What's the preferred protocol so as to avoid being crass?

My Little Favorite Pony - for marking posts and comments as favorites, how about allowing you to put in a little note as to why it piqued your interest.

My Favorites Pony - Love the favorites. How about adding into the contacts section a "jump to contacts' favorites" link?

AskMeFi followup - nearly 4 months ago, I asked
this question about home theater searching. Ultimately, the guidance from that thread led me to save up for and purchase an appropriate unit. Once I got the DVD player to output the right Dolby variant, we've been basking in good sound. Thanks,
Civil_Disobediant and
misterbrandt!

Ask MeFi Karma - I think it would be cool that if you are reading the comments of an AskMeFi thread that you created, you could rate an answer by granting or taking away a karma point from the answerer. In this way, there will be a new mechanism
of MeFi elitism to encourage constructive replies.

It's things like
this that make me reluctant to continue posting to MeFi. (see inside for more)

Please oh please make it possible to view all of a given user's posted topics. Perhaps a link to the link on the user's profile page?

Sometimes I love you all to pieces to the point where I'd love to see the user's profile page have a link which generates a page with all of the user's topics and all the topics with his/her comments. But it's a good kind of filial love, not an erotic all-out monkey love slamfest.

I am but simple caveman blogger. Your modern HTMl ways are far too complex for me. Back in my pleistocene days, before I was frozen, we had a preview button for comments on blog links so that we could see our text and mark up before it was committed to stone. Might we have the same?

I want to feel more meta, but I seem to be highly consistent in my
2 comment:1 link ratio.
CrazyUncleJoe clearly has me beaten on
that front, but is that really a measure of metatude? More than likely, it's my lack of lists of lists of lists of links to other places.
