Flickr founders leaving Yahoo
Hmm...just for future reference, does anyone know if there's a way to download all of your Flickr photos? Individually saving 3,000 photos isn't exactly feasible.

As someone who extremely liberal and detests Bill O'Reilly with the fire of a thousand flaming suns, I'm more than a little ashamed to say that he was kind of hot when he was all pissed of and swearing. /shame

Here's another remix with a bizarre video. Not as funny as the one listed in the OP, though.

Remembering Ricky
I've just gotten grimmer and grimmer as this war has gone on and I see more "patriotic" things like this.
Where are you getting the patriotic vibe? I saw it as the story of one woman's loss.

The Grace Lee project
Grace Lee that says she and her brother were never told they were adopted; they just always knew it. The picture of her family is really hilarious.
The trailer stops for me right after the Grace Lee that holds up voodoo dolls. What is the gag?

Tales of the City
I loved the books, but the miniseries really grabbed me back in the day. I've been a fan of Laura Linney, Olympia Dukakis, and Donald Moffatt ever since.
Same here. I might never have picked up the books if I hadn't seen the miniseries. When I first went to buy the book (at age 14), I didn't understand why it was tucked away in the gay and lesbian section of my bookstore. So many people who would enjoy the books are not likely to look there. By... [more]

Why are either of those statement so amusing to you? Because you think Sheryl Crow is uncool?
raysmj, I think the "funny" aspect is that Sheryl Crow is said to have ripped off collaborators as well. There's a link above delineating her ripoff of the Tuesday Night Music Club that ends in an utterly depressing way.

We see a man and woman kiss
I actually really love this site. I love horror movies but have no tolerance for the violent visuals, so I can go here and find out in advance if I'll be able to take it. e.g. Saw III:
A woman wakes up from being unconscious, with a heavy metal ring around her neck, and an apparatus attached to her ribs (we see bloody hooks attached to her sides and blood drips on the floor); she reaches into a container of acid to retrieve a key that... [more]

Modelling human memory, predicting forgetting
If you have the discipline to keep up with this program regularly, I don't doubt it would work. It would require some commitment, though.
I had a professor who followed the same method as Wozniak. He was a venerated professor of linguistics and classics, so he had fluency in several ancient and modern languages -- Latin, Greek, Coptic, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and several other obscure tongues. He told me that if he didn't refresh each one within a... [more]

Just kidding. Monkey Shines is more entertaining than you'd think. Plus, he looks like a sexier Charles Grodin. That's right, like Charles Grodin, but even sexier.

Sourwookie, that Madness-ified Colgate Pump commercial is nuts.
I recognize the imagery of the silhouetted boys and girls holding hands and dancing, but I don't remember what video it's from. Does anyone know?

Thanks, sourwookie. But the video I kept finding on YouTube for "Baggy Trousers" doesn't have that imagery (of the silhouetted boys and girls). The silhouetted parents in the kitchen look so familiar too.
