Small, crunchy, gooey creatures have always been a love of mine, but I'm aware that there is necessary or forgivable killing of said creatures -- in the name of science, for food/in the food-making process, when they're an invasive species, when they're pestilent, when someone has an all-consuming true phobia (because I don't have any respect for fear stemming from ignorance), etc. However, tormenting or killing them for fun has always been beyond my understanding.... So I work in an ass-kissing specialty grocery store. Part of a chain. Customers here bumble through aisles and do ludricrously self-centered stuff all the time, so it's no surprise that they go through their entire shopping trips glued to their damned phones.

I can think of several musicians, albums, and songs that I love that Stylus eviscerated at some point, but it was hard for me to not enjoy these articulate, precise maulings. I remember the righteous indignation of Tori Amos fans to Dom Passantino's review of The Beekeeper. Boy, they hated that one -- it's the first line of the review that especially drew out the anger.
