Oh shit. I lost the power supply to the br-532 in the move, so to be econimical i got a br-800 which arrived this week.. i recorded all this within the last 2 hours and about a half hour ago realized i had no idea how to get it off the damn thing. turns out it was the same way as the 532 but to make a short story short used the mixing on the 800 and um.. here we go.. straight off the br-800.. also played bass for the first time in 500 years
Influenced in all honesty by freya_lamb and wilco. And coffee shops. And random bars on 'punk' night with the acoustic Brittney spears covers that no one pays attention to. And the noise. Oh ~ it's half some jens lekman. Also dedicated to tired, exhausted folks with good things going for them.
On man.. the first line and the rhythm were written while walking to class three or four years ago in a wisdom tooth Vicodin sunshine. A couple of days before April this year I woke up early some Sunday morning and just started playing the same two 'chords' over and over again (A7#9sus4 (just bar the 5th) and Amaj .. although it probably was closer to Amin/E to Amaj/E). Combine that with a corrupted version of the 'Why don't you move back to Massachusetts!' line from Do the Right Thing and you've got something sounding like early tired Sunday mornings.
Another old one. It's a little rough, but enjoyable. Contains guitar, didgeridoo, part of some commercial, and small flammable animals. Bits were inspired by bagpipes and Albert Ayler.
Harmless bongos. Hongos.
I recently found a bunch of old cds.. this is one I had put together around 2000 (I would have been around 16). Track 1.
Remix of a friends' band recording (and some side project done with me) from sometime around 2001-2002. I'm certainly in the mood for a party (same era) There was also an intro using bits of this mix, but I think it's only on some ancient mini-DV tape for now..
Written for a cello friend. Apologies for the low volume level and the minute of silence at the end.
I just had to jump on the bandwagon.. Recorded after bars a few years ago after I got the four track. Friend on vocals, friend on guitar, I was on bass but it wasn't plugged in. Posted is the super-delux songsmith edition with the vocal track. We obviously didn't worry about tempo.. This is about the best I could do without spending six hours on it. It works better near the end. It helps to be drinking. It's pretty awful, but it has a moment or two. This is the original.
A Danzig cover (aahh!) I used to love the early Danzig albums back in high school. Three or four months ago I had a nice night and must have remembered the band because I woke up with this. It has since been remastered several times ( took out a lot of bass on the guitar ) and many attempts to post have been made (some nights you just can't figure out LAME). Like everything else I seem to have thrown together so far, it's one take on guitar (with vocals from that take bleeding in) and then one for vocals which were doubled. I added some shit in the left at a couple places.
A tribute to American desks and that Blagojevich guy.
Another tale (the first, and only) involving Agent Expatokeydokey.. The fire sounds are from a hookah coal. The noise is from a failing cable from the psr-520.. or from me
A song about the freshman year of college, and masturbation. Enjoy!
A couple cover songs, sex, and cake. [MNBSFW]
There is a bowl filled with various amounts of wather (I tried to tune it in Gmin) and some synth (sub aqua) Just found out about this contest today, did it in two hours! The lead is very rough and rushed (clumsy?), but it is interesting. This is the first time I've tried to create a song in years..
