Low-Riders and My Sanity - Am Losing My MIND!
nitsuj - just after posting this I went out side to do some gardening - just happened to have my old rusty rake with me. The guy - cocky and obnoxious comes careening around - goes down the dirt alley makes a turn and goes beyond what would be considered *my corner* - I lost it. This has been going on for about 6 months now - and I've slowly been simmering. I just started screaming like a crazy lady with the rake in my hand - planning how I'd like to administer it to his skull - he stops looks... [more]

heheh - ok what's SOL - just so we're clear?
I was thinking also along the lines of spreading some really rocky gravel on the corner. Chunky mf-er gravel that looks more like urbanite than rocks. That might be a tad difficult to maneuver around in a go-cart from hell.

Oh man, you guys are really great. I love these responses - small penis - big ATV correlation, putting up a memorial with plastic flowers (LOL), boulders.....any one which is do-able. Talking to the local law enforcement (insert canned laughter here) is not an option. They're much too busy doing their more important stuff...anyway....
OK - so I'm going to consider all the ideas here and they'll be probably more as the minutes tick. So I won't do *crazy lady goes Ahab... [more]

My Windows Won't Switch alt-tab is
Because I need to fly through my windows and couldn't wait, I just installed a 3rd party app that will give me the capability of moving fast between the screens. Don't know why this happened. Worked before. Could be a temporary glitch. It's XP alt-esc works ok.

Loss of a dear, loved cat, and getting new cat (or 2). Non-cat people, skip this one.
In finding just the right cat, you need time and good senses. It's no use in rushing the process because everything happens in it's due time. In finding my babies, I spaced the process out - from one to two and then the 3rd that would be the perfect balance for the other 2. And each cat had different characteristics that I took into consideration when opening up our home to another. I kept my sensors open to their energy - what kind of personalities they had and what kind of match they'd be to... [more]

I can handle the truth.
There's the world. World is comprised of cells called souls. Every human possess one. Every soul has free will to choose between right and wrong. Honest dishonest. When free will is exercised by a person/soul/cell for honesty - the world is filled with more light. When the opposite is chosen it's filled with darkness. There's nothing anyone can do *about what

How can I be calm when someone around me is angry?
Personally I find anger to be catching. Somewhat and not unlike a virus. So even if I manage to ignore it - it will infiltrate my psyche and somewhere at sometime manifest as some kind of negative energy - mostly towards self in depression or anxiety.
I think removing self from situation is best.

It's a mix. I hear NJ, PA, NY and Yiddish with just a tad wee bit of something Ivy. Maybe Boston. It's not the accent btw - it's the quality of his voice and delivery. Crisp yet warm.

Where do I get a tiny water dish
If I were a rock, I don't know if I'd like to be drinking out of a bottle cap. Probably would want to go with a hand-crafted one made out of Fimo, or lacking craft skills, opting for a doll dish but only if it was made of china. Not IN China. There's a diff.

Adult diagnosis of a learning disability and where to go from here
ADD - is simply like wearing 2 different colored socks - at all time. You can flaunt your fashion sense, you can set a trend or you can roll your trouser hems all the way to cover them up in shame. Having 2 differently colored socks yeah makes you special - and yeah also may hinder your ability to be accepted in some high brow circles that don't accept the eccentrically uniqueness that you'd bring to the table. But oh well!
Undeniably, it's a challenge to be different,... [more]

Is longevity the curse of happiness?
I don't know if it's age or what - but these times are stressful for anyone. But say someone is in their 80's. They're living their biology, and what they've inputted for so many years. The food, the emotions, the relationships, the air and the water. All these factors will show up - physically and psychically - for better or for worse. State of mind is the result of one's belief system - if you believe old age will be horrific, depressing and basically will render you helpless - then that will... [more]

It could be anything. You need to be tested to find out the culprit. All the symptoms you described are indicative of your system trying to correct itself. Infection, block, atrophy - could be any one of 100 different ailments that you do need not to ignore.

I don't know of any two people who had exactly the same symptoms and it turned out they had exactly the same ailment - simply because every one's biology is different. But what I can offer you in terms of *been there, done that* was when I was living in Brooklyn I ~did~ go to a free clinic for tests and it really put my mind at ease knowing that I wasn't going to die of something fatal. Mudpuppie put up the links - now.....it's up to you. Good luck and be well.

Well, nobody really was all that aware back then. But I sure someone would have told me *be prepared to grieve - for a long, long time*. I took it really hard. Many do. Even if you're la dee da about the split - when it happens - it hits you like a bloody ton of bricks. And you cry, and it's like mourning. I felt the grief years later. It was hard to shake.

catnip

I've smoked 4 of the above with eh results. Better than nothing. For sheer anxiety - running, doing really strenuous work in the garden, controlled breathing as mentioned, accupressure - done on self is helpful, wine. Red or white.

The Secret of Happiness?
King David said it well in his Psalm of Love 34
Who is the man that desires life?
And loves days, that he may see good therein?
Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

What can I do with a frozen placenta?
Congratulations on the birth of your baby. I feel it's gross to eat something that came from your body. If it were meant to be consumed, it would be growing on a tree or out of the ground, not from your wife's uterus. With all due respect - its duty is done and now needs to become a memory dug a hole for, covered and walked away from.

What's the point of anonymity?
The thing is, you'll never get it right - i.e. doing no harm, unless you align your thoughts, words and actions with the Spiritual Laws that govern and rule the world. In all other cases and scenarios, something, somewhere will go awry, disaster occurs and harm caused because no matter how much you think you're doing things *right* you're working through the ego and that will never succeed long term. Short term it's a feel good bandaid. Speaking honestly is not necessarily speaking Truth. And... [more]

No - that's definitely not what I had in mind. In that the field is new - it lacks structure - where there are theorists, practitioners, researchers and others finding answers where the old paradigms are sorely lacking, building on perhaps ancient texts - such as kabballah - but due to whatever reasons - have not yet found a forum in which to share with others and bring light to their work. Anyway, I'll hold tight, keep searching till something more promising formulates. Thanks.

People who repeat themselves
It's called the Bell Curve of Evolution. There are 3 kinds of people - those asleep, those awakening and those fully awake. The ones who are fully awake will witness and teach the ones ready to learn techniques how to accept the shortcomings of the others and how to become a master over one's own emotions. You have to also realize that all systems known to us thus far are collapsing. There will be no big brother to rely on - as a matter of fact as we're all pretty much being made aware - big brother is turning on us. There is little *out there* to offer solace. Even if you have money, the choices are really narrow if your mindset is narrow, archaic and pedestrian. It's a state of getting rid of all preconceived notions about how things need to be - and living with how they are. The system is... [more]
