More lightgun shooters coming?
When you say Resi, do you mean Resi4 wii edition or the execrable Umbrella Chronicles? If the second, get the first.

Hiberno-Norwegian marriage?
Practically none legally. May need to go through a couple of interviews with the police if you are basing your residence on your relationship. That would likely be about it. Irish, married to a swede, which is really the same damned difference :D

Until empress gets back, take one toilet roll tube, fill it with some kibble, punch some holes in it and fold the ends over. It skitters around the floor and they chase it and food falls out. Prepare to hoover.

Alcohol and personal warmth
hgg beat me to the hat! A little fleece beanie should do the job nicely.
For the feetses, you can google for down-socks or down-booties, ideally the ones with grippy-soles. Thick ski-socks are made with those kids style grippy-soles as well.
Again with the fleece, a small throw for the sofa or wherever you are.
Instead of a traditional hot-water-bottle, you can get microwaveable versions, either gel-based or filled with corn or similar (they are very shapable,... [more]

These are hugely popular in Sweden and are called "tube-beads", you can iron them once you have made them to melt them together as a permenant display. There are lots of different types of "mats" that you can follow if you don't want to free-style, like here:

Subtle kink in popular culture?
Seconding Battlestar Galactica, not just for the, more or less overt, relationship involving Baltar, but also more subtely throughout the series. Mainly between the female characters, cos the boys pretty much are all subs. In fairness, an incredible amount of switches *koff*Starbuck*koff*, but the themes are absolutley there.

The Local is an expat site in Sweden, they have forums that are probably good for this sort of thing. I have had no real trouble just converting recipes, most of scandinavia uses the deciliter measure that is very handy.

How do I track simple library stats quickly?
Google Docs has a very simple "New Form" function. Create a question saying "What task did you complete?" and have it as your required question, you can have another question that is a text box for a comment if you need it. It outputs to an excel, but will avoid the problem of typos or so on.

After about a half an hour you realise Juno isn't really quirky and edgey but practically conservative propaganda. Abortion as an option dissapears in a second, and adopting away the baby is instantly considered the right solution (despite the fact that she has a loving and supportive family etc). Garners character is a loon with serious control issues, but these are all swept away when she fulfills every real womans dream of becoming a mother (despite being in the middle of a divorce). Sweden really considers itself the big brother of the family. An example of this is the new tourist tag-line for Stockholm where they call it "The Capital of Scandinavia". Hubris much?

Danish legislation however has however come under quite a bit of criticism recently for being excessivly populistic in it's harshening attitudes to immigrants. I notice a huge amount of "generally negative" attitudes to immigrants in Sweden. The breakdown of attitude reveals that it isn't so much somones immigrant status that is the problem as their ethnicity. North-western europeans are fine, as are peeps from other english speaking countries. It's a weird mix.

Excuse the triplepost. It just occurred to me that a Swedish language link is as little use to you as a bar with the sound off. You could watch from the bar while listening on an FM radio to a broadcast, or you could try looking at the webpages for channels in other english-speaking countries like Australia. They may have live websends.

In Sweden it is traditional for the groom to give a piece of jewlery, usually a necklace, to the bride on the morning after the wedding, it is called the morgongåva (morning gift). Origionally the bride wasn't entitled to inherit her husband, and this was what she got instead.

I wouldn't say "If i finish with Janne even if I am love with you", that would be more like "även" rather than "if".
Because, if I break up with Janne if I am in fact in love with you, tough luck, I am moving to Stockholm.
Her Swedish ain't great either though which is complicating matters to be honest... Could do with some commas, and I amn't sure she is using t.o.m. the way it is generally used.
