A more del.icio.us bookmarking service?
"And I hardly need to mention that this is a crowded space - Ma.gnolia, eSnips, Jots, Fungow, SpinSpy, Simpy, RawSugar are just a few of the players here. Even serving up MySpace codes is unlikely to distance you from the competition. Once again, I think it’s a case of too little, too late."
What he said. And yes, no amount of widget-doohickery will pry me from the simplicity of del.icio.us.... [more]

Can I return that article for not being complex enough? That was like buying a DVD player and opening the box to find a candlepin bowling ball inside.

"Under every forest there is a lawn."
Haven't actually played the game to draw my own conclusions, but I saw this posted in the Consumerist a bit ago.
We’re not quite sure what this “anti-advergame” from MolleIndustria is supposed to be teaching us, but here’s what we learned...Running a profitable, multinational corporation takes a lot of hard work and skill...It’s fun to incinerate cows with a flamethrowing robot.... [more]

Super Bowl XL Commercials
I thought the Animal Planer Puppy Bowl II was way more enjoyable than the actual Super Bowl...that said, I found the Pepsi "Brown & Bubbly" campaign to be amazingly horrible...and I laughed at the Bud Light commercials.
But then again, I am lost to corporates.

Bah, neither google, yahoo, nor the "post preview search" turned up anything for "c71123.com."

Advertsing Gone Mad
Does "clever" advertising, like buying a few pixels on the Million Dollar Homepage, work (I mean, it certainly worked for the person who set it up)...in terms of advertising-driving-traffic-to-my-business working? Last time I was there, all I saw was a collection of worthless and indecipherable crud. I guess at least it was all in one place (a blacklist of places I would never ever visit).
< feigned surprise> Man, this advertisamagrafication sure is PERVASIVE!... [more]

I'm going to think this is way-cleverly funny (the "meanness" tag gives it away...I think) in a way my small brain can't even fathom. If I don't, I will weep.

Goatse reactions caught on tape
This is brilliant. Saw it earlier, and discussed how awesome it would be to someone feed a picture of Goatse into my friends' new 52" tv as we gather to watch a football game this weekend:
Me: A shot of six people jaws agape
Me: looking at an ass agape
Friend: ahh...the symmetry.
Me: Is it live or is it Goatse?

to buy or not to buy, that is the question.
I remember reading once in "Organic Style" magazine (which looks like it is now defunct) all the different types of fish and what impact "wild" versus "farm-raised" and such have on the environment. I can't recall the specifics, but basically if you buy wild fish, you're contributing to dwindling wild fish stocks, and if you buy farm-raised fish (ocean fish, mainly, I think) you're contributing to massive amounts of pollutants from said farms absolutely wrecking... A Sad, Sad Note.
"It comforts me to know he didn't suffer and he wasn't bruised or crushed," [Peggy Cohen, Fred Ware's daughter] added. "I didn't need a note. I think I needed to visualize and see him."
Mrs. Cohen said she opened her father's eyes at the morgue, so she could look into them one last time.

And better yet, what is LVHRD foundation? From the source on their page:
Dear Mr. Snoopy Pants,
If you really wanna get in, do a google search for LVHRD, find somebody who has been to an event, and email them... they should be able to show you the way.

Tomorrow Tookie is going to die
Whilst snowed-in on Saturday morning (I think) I got to see a CNN California court nomination press conference with Gov. Schwarzenegger being peppered with questions about Tookie Williams...someone asked how he felt with the fate of another human being in his hands...
...and he grinned stupidly, stumbled over his words, mentioned something about how "it's a very complicated matter" and referred to the execution as "all this stuff," and changed the... [more]
