This is the last track thegreatbigmulp and I did for the February "make an album in a month" challenge.
This is a thing Mulp and I just did. HELP!!!
This is a chopped up awful tv show. 53 points if you can figure out what the show is. This is a solo piece, BTW.
Yet another piece from the shortened album project. This time featuring Mulp on drums and vocals and me on vocals+other things.
Mulp and I tried to do the RPM "Record an album in a month" challenge. We failed. Not because of lack of material. But he got sick, I've got a 2 month old baby. We weren't quite set up for recording at the beginning of the month. We did manage 4 or 5 tracks though. This is one. Nothing but 2 monkeys on a couch, a keyboard and some great pedals for this song.
This is a quick remix/noise piece of a wax cylinder piece I found.
Mulp and I worked on this yesterday. He played bass, synth, guitar + vocals. I did the programming, mixing + vocals. It's a rough mix, but a fun start to a new project. It features mostly instruments modded or repaired by me incidentally.
Another improv track riffing off of the previous Bearded Dragon. This was the last time the Slimelords/the Next ever played together. We broke up shortly after some pictures of us were taken together that same night.
Improv track. I'm a stupidly huge Doctor Who fan. I'm sorry. Almost every song I've ever jammed on vocally has included a reference to the Good Doctor. I confess...I may be an incarnation of the Doctor. A fat, currently unemployed incarnation.
This is another improv track featuring The Great Big Mulp on drums and SheMulp on questioning my sanity/backup vocals. We were slightly soberer this time. It's a rough mix, so feedback is nice.
This is an improv piece from the Next/Slimelords circa 2007 featuring our backup singer (AKA SheMulp) on lead vocals and The Great Big Mulp on drums. We came up with this while making fun of SheMulp's tendency to roll her R's only when saying spanish-y words.
The Great Big Mulp's first fully digital song. I mixed it from a rough mix he recorded on my VS-840. Anyone who can recognize the keyboard sounds used for this gets my undying love. He was known as Vorticon back then. I was stoned a lot back then.
reklus track 2b. Used samples from David Bowie\Bing Crosby Little Drummer Boy. Oh, and Sling Blade. Again, with the jesus.com...sfw
NSFW reklus track 2a. This uses a samples from a Ron Jeremy/hermaphrodite porn. The cello is from Jesus of datejesus.com (formerly jesus.com) . The clean version will be up tomorrow.
This is track one of the first reklus album, from early 2003. The album was supposed to be part of a rock/noise opera, but that idea has been shelved temporarily. I'll be uploading the rest of the tracks one by one. Feedback is welcome, but this album was the only time I plan on making music in this inorganic fashion.
In 2002 I needed to make something funny and bouncy to round out the noise opera that this album failed to become. I saw a muppets sketch with monsters and a jungle...This is inspired by that. I think the sketch was the one with the Buffalo Springfield song "For what it's worth (Hey what's that sound?)"
noise piece using granulab and a short loop.
This is 3/4 of the original line up of "the next" in my basement. Improv jam session My ex roomate the idiot on keys and fake drums. Recorded with a sony minidisc player and a crappy computer mic.
The last broadcast from communist Russia. Created in 1999, with The Great Big Mulp back when he was Mixmaster Suck and I was DJ Wrong. Or he may have been Vorticon.
Stoned, hungry, and desperate to get the guitarist to stop playing so we could go to East Side Mario's. This comes from 1999. The Great Big Mulp and reklus with the oft mentioned dead guitarist.
From late 2001. This was performed live with human sized puppet ants and a backup band. The drum sound was an old performa's midi based drum program. This was composed over 6 hours in the morning 2 days before 9/11.
First take of SLS, live to track, this is a jam that became one our more popular songs from "the next." It's a mess because it's an improv jam.
11 years ago, live to tape, first take, reklus + The Great Big Mulp + the now dead guitarist. I was 18 and had almost died of Lyme disease and subsequently lost "the love of my life." The sentimentality and quality of the lyrics is therefore no reflection of my style. Also, I was 18 and sing like it.
This comes from my noise/rock opera which is still unfinished. Our protagonist realizes that he can survive and function without belief
NSFW remix of my favorite part of "Moby Dick" by the Great Big Mulp. This so for the never upcoming "reklus vs K(10)z"
Single take on keyboards with my kawai k1. Old announcer style microphone with broken bits add to the creepiness. I did this in august, so it's unrelated to any halloween urges...
