I have a wireless internet adapter that I transferred to a new desktop computer, and I don't have the CD with the driver on it anymore. Also, it looks like the original company is no longer in business, so I'm unable to download it from their site. Is there a way to make this work?

If I have a dual core processor at 2.40GHz that is running software that isn't designed to utilize both cores (such as some older games), would this be equivalent to running it on a single core processor at that speed (all other things being equal)?

Are there unhealthy thought processes that you've had that once you've dealt with them, had a discernibly positive effect on your life? If so, how did you go about changing them? And what kind of benefit did you see?

Why are we so connected emotionally to music from our generation, but not others?

According to
this chart, there have been 2,422 nuclear explosions since 1945, including above ground, under ground, and in the sea. I'm somewhat amazed that this isn't having more of permanent negative effect. Does spreading out all the nuclear activity allow our ecosystem to absorb the radiation in reasonable intervals? Chernobyl has been a wasteland since the reactor meltdown. Was it simply that much more radioactive than actually testing bombs?

If I hook a monitor up to two devices (using a different video port for each device), will it be able to tell which one is using it (assuming just one device is on), if I keep both plugged in? And is there any potential harm to the monitor, if it's plugged into two active devices at once?

When addressing a professor by a title via letter or email (e.g., Dr. Smith), and they respond by signing their name (e.g., John), are they inviting you to refer to them by their first name?

How can I become a better and more prolific reader? I don't have a problem with the idea of reading. I love it, as a matter of fact. I'm crazy about books, I collect them, and I enjoy them. However, I don't read nearly as much as I want to, or need to. Ideally, I'd love to read a book every week or two. It doesn't come close to that these days. I think about reading and how I enjoy the idea of reading more than I actually read.

My grandmother left me a clock that our family has very little information about, other than it was an antique that was passed down from her mother. I've done some searching online, but I haven't found anything that seems like a good contact. It's rather heavy, so an initial appraisal would have to be done via pictures, if this is possible. Is there anyone who can give me some good advice on how to go about this, and how to know if I've made a contact with someone who actually knows what they are talking about? Any direct contacts to knowledgeable appraisers would be especially appreciated.
