But Mom, it's for science!
Been playing this over the weekend - and it's brought out my inner OCD (as if I need much pushing for it to come out.)
It really is a great idea, playing on the idea that humans are generally better at naturally seeing overall patterns.

Oh last I heard she's sleeping rough/back on the Heathrow Beat
My wife and I spent a night at Heathrow to see if we could catch an early flight back to the states.
It was incredibly odd to say the least. The only thing that made it bearable was the fact that we figured out how to get free internet from the kiosks.
In the morning when food places started to open back up, they had to clear out the people that had snuck into the eating areas to sleep on the tables. It was really surreal to watch them emerge.

"My Normal Pajamas"
What is it with the obsession about pajamas that people seem to have these days?
Everywhere I go I see people wearing pajamas out and about. I think I missed the new wave of dressing. I feel old and cranky.

Grapes to Wine
Alternative link for the PDF file (Geocities)
My wife and I just bought an old Victorian Italianate house and I'm using it as an excuse to plant some grapes and start making our own wine.
Anyone else growing grapes and making wine want to share some tips?

noble_rot: Please do share - I'm sure there are a bunch of lurkers who would love to try it out.
I'm on the east coast and was thinking of trying to do the buy juice from the vineyard thing to get me started at least trying some of the million nifty tricks I've read about.
Thanks for the tips.

amyms: It would surely make for a fun bottle label.
nebulawindphone: I wish I had the time he has to make all those fun wines. Where did you get the dandelions? I'm always terrified that I'll pick ones that have weed killer or smog on them.

I've transplanted myself to the country - but I guess I still have my city fears.
I really want dandelions so I can make vegan honey though.

mumkin - I didn't even know that grape pies existed, I'm absolutely going to try to make one this Thanksgiving.
Thanks for the recipe eye of newt - you make it sound so easy.
MrMoonPie - Thank you for the vine selection tips, I'm in western MD and was leaning towards some European type vines - but maybe I should rethink that if they don't really work.

Veganizing Anthony Bourdain
I'm vegan and my guilty pleasure is Top Chef.
My wife and I always end up making something really fun after we watch because we are filled with cheffy delusions of grandeur.
Love what they are doing, anything that increases the number of recipes veggy folk can eat is a good thing. I much prefer the "Hey look veggy food is good and anyone can eat it" approach over the "Murder." approach. That's just me though.
