The shepherd's pie at George and the Dragon is actually quite tasty.

My fave spot in the neighborhood is just across the bridge on the queen anne side, The Nickerson Street Saloon which has quite a few beers on tap, and makes a tasty burger amongst it's other fare. They've got a huge outdoor space, but they fill up quickly on a weekend night.

If I didn't think it wouldn't work out in practicallity, I'd wish for all answers in an anonymous thread to be anonymous too....if the question is embarrassing to ask, surely some of the best answers would be too?

Some answers, like say how to properly dispose of a body, seem a bit dangerous to have associated with your name.

I dislike the question because he's asking us for help cheating other people, not just against a machine. It's not a "teach me how to cheat in vegas" question, it's a "teach me how to cheat my friends at friday night poker" question, and that just seems icky.

When I first moved to Portland, I spent a lot of time just hanging out in the park and drawing. One day, I'm sitting there, sketching people as they go past, and something yellow up high, catches my eye. I look and see, it's a sign in a tree, calling to me, saying don't litter. It made me laugh, the sign high up in the tree, the idea that someone who's going to throw their trash on the ground, will first look up in the sky. It seemed a singularly pointless sign. Until now.

Early this week, I saw a new mail notification "Flasher in the garage". It caught my eye, so I went to see what it said, and was saddly disappointed to find out it was just a story about some left on car lights.

A rocket does not have lift, the reason it flies is because the trust vector is parallel to
the direction of motion and antiparallel to drag and the gravity vector. Wow, such ignorance.
Lift is just the name of the upward vector, regardless of it's source. A plane wing generates lift, a rocket motor generates lift, the hot air in a balloon generates lift. They all do so in different ways, but the upward vector is still called lift.
