Is a liberation of Sealand viable?
1. Unfortunately its not recognized by any single member state of the united nations. Not a single country recognizes it for a number of reasons: They lack physical land, lack a "cause" such as being a minority or suffering a prejudice, they retain their UK citizenship and there is only one or two residents of the artificial structure.
2. The laws that govern it are the constitution that was written by the prince. There have been problems on the structure... [more]

Where does all the ivory go?
Well they actually invest some time and money into finding where it came from, its then used as evidence in the criminal trials. Beyond that I have no idea :)

What are appropriate rates for computer surveillance work?
Its perfectly legal I've consulted my provincial government on the issue and I'm fully licensed and bonded by an insurance company. I only work with people who present government issued photo ID, proof of ownership of the computers and proof of a lease or ownership of the property that they are within. Its the law here and I abide by it, I even have my tax codes registered.
This doesn't involve breaking and entering or phishing scams. The police also contract people like... [more]

I see nothing immoral about helping a company catch a thief working for them. I understand the issue of spying in personal relationships however its as legal for a woman to use this service to spy on his boyfriend as it is for her boyfriend to have sexual relationships with other women. If she owns the computer and the property that its inside of then its perfectly fine with me and the law. The issues that spring up are if this is used for illegal purposes, which is why I'm needed to get bonded... [more]

How do you keep a decade?
if you have a mac, take a photo with yourself everyday :) make sure you do it alone so when you feel miserable one day it will show more clearly in the photo, when happy you'll be doing all sorts of funny poses

Why are we sending work to Canada?
this is the answer microsoft is using to send more work from the states to canada:
the visa program. your visa program in the states is highly restrictive meaning they cannot hire skilled workers overseas and bring them into the states easy enough. canada on the other hand makes it fairly easy to import workers since canada has a smaller number of people yet a high demand for skilled workers too.
and despite what you think, taxes in canada can actually be... [more]

That is so effing cool!
Heres a good one:
Random acts of kindness, just wander the streets helping people. You get some walking and thinking time done plus you can help total strangers.

Free Radicals
I've worked with many in the past and I still support some out of those past relationships. So I can tell you right now that they don't really "Change" things but they certainly do express themselves. I feel like I grew out of it but if you're young still then go for it because it can't hurt you at all.

Prepare for Peak Oil without looking like a nutjob?
One simple way is to get a backyard barbecue/grill. There are dozens of kinds out there so do some research on this and make sure you get one. You'll want to pay careful attention to the type of fuels it CAN use.
Getting a tiny butane stove that you can keep in your house isn't a terrible idea either as butane is pretty cheap. This means you can cook up loads of canned foods, boil and fry if things get too expensive.
Solar panels might be ok... [more]

Software recommendations for Classroom Computer Management
I can provide you with a piece of software for $400 CAD. Its very similar to VNC but more secure and with far more features. It supports file access, process/service/window management.
If you're interested I can make you a video demo for how it would work.
I operate a company around computer surveillance.
