MeFi post: The Great White Way?
I would do that for friends. I would hope friends would do that for me. But that's the musical freak inside, and honestly, who doesn't love THIS stuff? Spontaneous or rehearsed, the glass is half full, my heart is mushy, and heck yeah.

(Although Bunnytricks is kind of right on. So I am just partly cynical about it. But it's a small, small part.)

MeFi post: Marathon a day for 100 days
Well, Dean Karnazes has run a few marathons in a row, and at pretty decent times. Of course, the guy can also run 300 miles without stopping. A marathon runner myself, I consider that to be a bit nuts. I've yet to lose a toenail, although I do have a few black ones, and I've only run three marathons. The more downhill there is, the more likely you are to bang a few toenails up. Also, most marathons have a cutoff time of 6 hours, but you have to wonder if these people are running in formal... MeFi post: Knuckle tattoos
I live in Austin, Texas and for whatever reason am at the Groovy Lube every time Nathan (the creator of that site) is also. He's a terrific conversationalist with the most interesting stories about knuckle tattoos. Although I'd be hard pressed to tattoo my own knuckles (perhaps for lack of creativity), knuckle tattoo culture is pretty fascinating.
