MeFi post: The Yellow Shark [NOT MUDSHARK-IST]
A much missed artist, the Today interview is great and his eloquence, intelligence and common sense that shines through was an absolute asset in the fight against music censorship. It's sad to see him in later interviews obviously weakened by cancer but he remained lucid to the end.

Nice post.

Oops, I re-linked to the same as the OP. Here's the intended link to an interview on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in which Zappa and Carson discuss the anti-censorship testimony before a US Senate committee.

MeFi post: Lights! Sounds! Fingers!
More on the Tenuri-On at Music Thing......

I look forward to the day when instruments like this turn some concerts into Discovery-era Daft Punk videos.

MeFi post: I want my P-tv
I'm now always a fan of their writings, but I have enjoyed some of their new music recommendations. Was nice to watch the Pixies documentary, though.

MeFi post: Fruits? Animals?
This website has left me in the realm between tears of joy and laughter and tears of the pain caused by the way it just.....looks.

MeFi post: what did we tell you
Very clever. Nice how he donates money to the animals in the process as well.

MeFi post: Who's the father?
Reminds me of an extrreeme Jeremy Kyle, he's our nearest equivalent in the UK.

MeFi post: Learnding
Gorgeous game, love the graphics and sound. This strikes me as something that would be great for the Nintendo DS as a kind of surreal, imaginative brain training game for kids (and adults!), using the stylus to interact with the world.

MeFi post: The Geometry of Music
Seconding retronic, I've been interested in this sort of thing since I read of some of the deliberate use of mathematics apparently inherent in Boards of Canada's music as well as some of the ratios between notes I've learnt about in music lectures. Will give this a good read tonight!
