Where can I spread the word about my project to musicians who might be interested?
Are you talking outreach via internet only?
Because you could probably hit up lots of live indie shows and do promotion type things there. Nothing flashy, not too much merchandise or whatever, but get a table in the back and spark up conversation with whoever comes your way and even the band members.
If you are in NYC check out showpaper. But I'm sure there are outlets for wherever you are.

Shall I get greedy or follow my heart?
Thanks for all the help so far. Lots of good insight on the matter.
I'm a theatre tech major at a small-ish state university. That being said, Earning potential after college is not great, but I'm not too worried as I live very frugally.
The annuity was actually something offered to me through a family friend. It sort of came out of the blue and the the benefit my family saw to it was that it would lock up money that I would have after I... [more]

The I Ching seems like too complex a text for me to undertake on my own!
I definitely understand that most of it lies within me to interpret answers as it pertains to my question. I'm not sure if I actually believe in an omnipresent diety that really contemplates my request; but I did an online divination for kicks and really got some good advice out of it. The only reason I wouldn't pursue this channel probably touches on what bangelboy said above. I'd like to do it myself.
I guess I'm asking more about the technical aspect and the... [more]

Help me break my Video Game Addiction and get back to work!
Hah! I too just finished my freshman year at college and when I got back, it was videogame land for me. This only lasted for two weeks or so and then I got back into playing music and making zines and stuff.
What really got me out of it was that I started questioning where I was in my life and why I kept turning to video games. Are you ok? Like really, deep within yourself, are you happy? Do you feel like you have adequate control over your own life? Do some writing or... [more]

Squirtle? Bulbasaur.
Here's what it is. Bulba and Squirtle were some of the last few remaining pokes (along with pikachu) that Ash had from early on in the series. Bulba understands why Squirtle needs to leave and how he could be more beneficial to the Squirtle Squad, but he's resentful. He feels like Squirtle is abandoning their posse in a "and then there were two" sense. Deep down, bulbasaur will miss squirtle, but he doesn't want to show it out of his own machismo.

Nthing temp agency. Mindless work that you can get most of it done before your shift is over, and then do your own things the rest of the day while getting paid!

It's all how you carry yourself. Good posture, and look people in the eye. Clothes, hair, that stuff comes second.

What was your favorite course in college?
Rap and the Spoken word. Actually I enjoyed most of the Black Studies courses.
I wont be taking the classes for my major (theatre tech) next fall so I imagine those would be some of my favorites.

Value Headphones (Grado)
They're wonderful, you will not regret getting them.
Although...while they aren't exactly fragile, if you don't take care of them, they will fall apart. They'll still work, but you'll have a tough time making the ear pads stick to the bar that goes around your head.
Or mabye it's just me!?

So what if you're a level 70 rogue...
I dunno bro, the hardest think you can do is to change someone's mind. The best thing I think would be to try and get him to realize that he's in a bad place, and help him figure how he should get out. I was addicted to weed for a long, long time and it really just made me socially anxious and depressed after chronic long-term use. I wish you the best of luck.

Help me find this missing superhero story from the interwebs!
The story you are asking about is Marvelous Bob.
Sadly, the writer, Michael Buonauro, committed suicide shortly after uploading the final chapter to his livejournal. It was a great story, encompassing everything you wrote about. Bob did have a friend who had the ability of time travel, but it aged him severely. Bob was very much an anti-hero. He had problems with his girlfriend, didn't care much about citizens etc.. I don't think he HAD to save people, but he did. He... [more]

Caffeine is the new Xanax.
While you may not get physically addicted, there is great chance of a psychological addiction. I had a similar problem but it was cannabis that helped me to relax. After some time, I felt as if I needed it to interact socially. It seems like you might be heading down that route. Be careful because you will play tricks and try to fool yourself. Be on the watch! Good luck!

Help me get to know Park Slope.
Join the Park Slope Food Coop and be healthy for the rest of your days :) But really though, they carry a portion of what whole foods has, for half the price in some cases. Lots of organic produce, lots of nuts, cheeses, butter, it's really a great amazing place.

Do I need more of a social life?
Hey man, I feel as if we are in neighboring boats. I too am a college student in a similar introverted predicament. I used to be a social butterfly in my small high school, but now that i'm in this semi-large state university, I became very anti-social. I too eat most of my meals alone and I spend most of my time working on projects and personal goals and such. I have been having a hard time socially this year but it really did stem from personal fears. Fear of rejection, self-doubts, etc.. The... [more]

My best suggestion is to create a crude sketch of what you want, go to your local college that has a metals department, and commission a student to make a pair for you.
