Trying to capture a Deadmau5-style beat. Discovered the vocal sample quite serendipitously and was quite surprised at how well it meshed with the existing track. I had to modify very little to make them work together - didn't even have to change the key, a nice coincidence.

An anthemic Summer Dance Jam of Friendship! Featuring The Internet's own
Blazin Hazen spitting friendly, supportive rhymes, as well as MeFi's own guitar legend
Dagosto shredding yet another savage solo. There's even a
touching music video featuring a little girl with cancer and a
dinosaur playing a keytar.

I tried to make a Drum'n'Bass track, with comical results. in less than 30 seconds the song turns from what could be a legitimate DnB offering into ultra-silly 80s synth lunacy. Oh well.

Canadians will no doubt remember the
nation-wide contest that was held to find a new theme for the CBC's much-beloved
Hockey Night In Canada when the royalties for the original became too expensive. Here is an entry that I made as a joke and never submitted, although, to be honest, I think it captures the essence of the sport pretty well.

I guess I'm sort of a
sucker for remixing ol' Kate. But it's hard to resist when her voice sounds good, and so many of her songs have stripped down arrangements that lend themselves well to sampling.

I imagine this as the music for one of those games where you're flying down a neon space tunnel or wormhole or something, dodging asteroids and mythical space creatures. Or maybe one of those levels in Battletoads where you're riding, well, hoverboards.
