Senior Software Developer
Akuta is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join its team in New York. The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for ongoing development of Akuta products, focusing on our flagship product, web-based software-as-a-service, mslConnect. Working with a team of developers, this individual will support the sales and support staff in defining feature requirements and identifying challenges with persistence and a passion for success and growth. The ideal candidate is an out-of-the-box and creative solution provider who will serve as a key contributor to shaping the direction of new system functionality, introducing new application technologies, and translating industry best-practices into simple intuitive software. The Senior Software Developer will join an experienced startup team focused on rapidly growing its client base and continuing to develop and market innovative solutions for the Pharmaceutical sector.
Position Requirements
Education
- BS in Computer Science or related field preferred
Work Experience
- 5+ years of work experience as a Software Developer
- Working experience with C#/.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, XML and Web Services
Other Skills
- Proven experience in the software industry and in-depth understanding of the development lifecycle;
- Experienced in writing applications that fit the "Web 2.0" checklist;
- Experience with writing clear documented codes;
- Experience with developing web pages using HTML/CSS/XSLT;
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment;
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Associate Software Developer
Akuta is seeking an Associate Software Developer to join its team in New York. The Associate Software Developer will support the internal teams by assisting the ongoing development of Akuta products, focusing on our flagship product, web-based software-as-a-service, mslConnect, offering persistence and a passion for success and growth. With close guidance and working primarily with a team of developers, this individual will implement upgrades, bug fixes and solutions, and new functionalities as specified. A self-motivated individual, and an out-of-the-box and creative solution provider, the Associate Software Developer will also work closely with the sales and support staff to understand and clarify feature requirements and identify system issues.
Position Requirements
Education
- BS in Computer Science or related field preferred
Work Experience
- Experience building web applications with one or more of the following languages:
- C# (preferred)
- VB
- Java
- PHP
Working knowledge of SQL
Other Skills
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript required;
- Experience with building data-driven websites;
- Experience with developing web pages using HTML/CSS/XSLT;
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment;
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.

We're looking for a web-savvy Developer to assist in the development of our flagship product as well as new initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop/enhance application functionality
- Ensure interoperability across browser clients
- Support existing development standards, and create new ones as needed
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Knowledge of C#/.NET, MS SQL, XML, Javascript, HTML, and CSS
- Ability to work independently and in a flexible environment
- Ability to know the difference between the "best" solution and the "easiest" one
- Willingness to learn new technologies
The following are desirable:
- Experience building enterprise software applications
- Understanding of AJAX
