Buy a Mach 5.
They are making enough for all of us. Freaking

Those of you with big bladders can hold out for the

Somewhere between Myst and an inventory. . Matt McClintock invites you to enter his home and checkout all his neat stuff. Want to see what is in his medicine cabinet?
Go ahead. What is in the drawer?
Take a look. Perfect for anyone who has ever walked down the street and wondered what the insides of their neighbors houses look like. Beautiful navigation, and oddly compelling content.

The
Alphabet Synthesis Machine uses a generative algorithim to allow you to evolve letterforms for your own nonexistent langauge. Once you've tweaked it to the way you like it, you can download it as a TrueType font, and it's added to an archive of
available alien fonts.

E911 technology allows for the location of a cellular phone to be determined by the wireless service provider within several hundred feet. As consequence, privacy groups have been extremely resistant to the implementation of E911. In the wake of the September 11 tragedies, however, the balance between privacy concerns and national security to have changed for many American citizens.

Amazing!
If I live to be 1000, I will never be able to properly underestimate the stupidity of human beings.
Many of the enlisted personnel who are now seeking honorable discharges argue they didn't sign up to defend America; they just wanted to learn a trade or earn money for college.
I'd let them go if they pay back the money spent of training and salary.

Geocaching is a way to put your useless GPS device, and your lazy internet to work for your important fun needs. People hide Stuff on earth, and mark the spot. Publish the coordinates, and you go find the stuff. Sometimes toys and cameras are involved. Link via my good friend
J.Bu, who probably did not realize he was giving away a perfectly good Old School style MeFi post.

Social Security Numbers and privacy.
I refuse to give my number out whenever possible, but it is getting worse all the time. Thankfully I can still buy batteries and refuse to give Rat Shack my telephone number, and tell Toy R Us where to go when they ask for my zip, but this is frustrating. Wasn't this what people feared about having identification numbers in the first place?

Your laptop is a musical instrument. The Back to Basics software offered by Hard rocking, hard ware band
O.R.I. will not garner many comments, but should be tried out. Devo meets Servotron and pretends to be Phillip Glass.

Do you have too much Freedom?
Might be interesting to all except for the ideology sales pitch at the end. Here is where the warning that it is a Harry Browne/Libertarian penned article goes. George Bush is a Communitarian?

Clinton stressed that most of the people he would pardon have long since paid their debt to society and that the main intent of his executive action was to lift restrictions on voting and employment.
That explains why Patti Hearst and the presidents brother gets one, and Leonard Peltier does not. I guess Bill know which side his is buttered on, and realizes he is going to be spending way more time with the FBI than with Indians in the coming years.
Who else should have been pardoned? Who should not have?

Free Jack Chick comics online
I only post this because I am always surprised how many people have never heard of the man. There is only one way to salvation, and Jack wants to show you. Some favorites are
Bewitched and the discontinued anti-D&D classic
Dark Dungeons.
The Poor Little Witch" will twist your brain too. Did you know Roman Catholics are not Christian, and that Christian Scientists cannot get into heaven?

Has there been a negative
Nader thread here yet?
"According to his former editor David Sanford, Nader is a hypochondriac who refuses dinner invitations from anyone with pets, because he thinks cats cause leukemia, and simply hates dogs."
There are even crazy quotes.

Chicago's online crime tracker
allows you to see a map showing all reported crime within a 2 week span for any intersection in the city. Type in Grand & Dearborn and set it for 1/2 mile to see the truly astounding amount of crime that happens in River North. No wonder I eat at my desk.

The author
of
The Anarchist Cookbook wants is to go out of print, but his publisher owns the copyright and keeps pumping them out. I had always heard the CIA published it, and filled it with faulty recipies designed to kill anybody messing with bomb materials.
Might be another twist on recent copyright discussions, but what do I know, I paid for my copy of
Steal This Book.

I can't find a link, but there is a rumor that there is a stolen script for sale as well. Lucas is ready to throw his stormtroopers at anyone who tries to sell it.

Why does the left ignore Waco?
I remember watching Waco burn on tv and being totally radicalized by it. Believing I was experiencing holy truth, I was of course shocked to find alot of people thought they had it coming. This link proposes things I had not considered.
