What's the best (fast, not necessarily cheap) way for two people to get from London/Heathrow to Bath mid-day on a Saturday? Our schedule + National Express train schedule = 7+ hours from touchdown to Bath arrival - too long after 9+ hours on a plane! There seem to be numerous "transfer service" outfits for around 120 pounds/carload, expensive enough to make us think more than twice. Is there any middle ground, something equivalent to Airport express (12 person vans w/reservations) in the US? If not, any recommendations for the above-mentioned transfer services?

My wife’s cousin is getting married and we’re looking for ideas for a wedding present. Given that we don’t know him very well the current idea is to get a gift certificate, either for an “experience” or for a nice (local, non-chain) retail store. The couple-to-be is Scottish and living in Edinburgh (we’re in Seattle and have one visit to Scotland between the two of us) and in their mid-thirties. They’ve been living together for a while and have a baby, so they probably don’t need basic household items. The cousin is a top notch chef, so I’m guessing a certificate for a restaurant would not be the answer.
Budget is around $100. Any ideas?

So SeaFi meetings were dime a dozen until I had worked myself up to go. What happened? I'm thinking maybe riding back and forth on the monorail reenacting scenes from "It Happened at the World's Fair". Or did the last meet result in something too terrible to mention?

Boeing 307 Stratoliner lands in Puget Sound
If you're in downtown Seattle, take a look across the Sound towards Alki - somebody's restored Boeing Stratoliner is semi-submerged near shore. Hope everybody's okay. Anybody know who's plane this is?

Got your new Segway and looking for a place to try it out? How about
the Nurburgring? 22DM a lap and no speed limit. But before you go, heed
this fellow's advice.
