I've heard Amazon is waving all fees, so this is a great way to give donations.

Just cracked the $100,000 mark. I'm sure it's a drop in the bucket, but between doing this & donating blood, every little bit helps.

I've submitted it to Fark, bluesnews, and slashdot just posted it. I encourage others to get it on high traffic sites.

Thanks, NortonDC, but I didn't post about the Amazon red cross site first--credit goes to oswillis.

Thanks for setting that straight. It's petty, but I know that I had a little "harrumph" moment when links I posted in comments got elevated with no acknowledgment.

About $25 per donation, and rising. I'm impressed.

I'm on the team that worked to put this up at Amazon (though I didn't work on it myself). Just makes me feel pretty good about where I work. Nice to have one bit of goodness seep into a day like today.

It's up to over $289,000. In all this sorrow, its making me very proud.

I showed this to my husband last night, and he was inititally "yeah, okay, whatever," until I said - look how it goes up...and hit refresh - up another 10k, and again another 2k, etc., etc., etc. I'm amazed at the generosity of my fellow americans.

i'm gonna figure out today where I can donate blood in my hometown. i've been afraid to for years & years (the first time I ever did, I passed out cold), but now....

I know it's a bit off to question their motives or what not....but I sure hope they pass on taking their 15% cut of it
