Jason does it again, this is written by the best of the news harvesters, high praise indeed.

They know their news - I spent good (company) money on their feeds last year, maybe we'll be able to buy a
XML feed of Jason or even MeFi this year.

Does it help that Jason works for Moreover?

luckyduck, i think that the fact that jason worked for moreover only provided an easy example. i found the article to be more about weblogs as an information source than about jason's site in particular.

Would have been nicer if he'd actually talked to Jason....

Criticize if you want, but I thought Kottke's coverage was some of the best online. Minimalist, but very informative. His emphasis on first-person stories and photos kept me going back throughout the day.

Dude. Kottke rules. He was not mentioned in today's NY Times Circuits section [does anyone read that?], but World New York was.

Just so that it's out there, I don't work for Moreover anymore...and either does Mr. Denton for that matter (he's chairman of the board, not an employee). I am friends with Nick and was probably an easy target for him to write about on a deadline because he already knew a bunch about me.

Would have been nicer if he'd actually talked to Jason....

Heh, I was thinking that too. He got my age and my home state wrong, and I've travelled a bit more than he indicated (but not much more, unfortunately). Not that it matters...the story wasn't about me, it was about weblogs. That's the important bit.
