the video tape they released 6 or 7 years ago (Commercial Entertainment Product) has a pretty lengthy description of what they do at the end, without actually calling it anything. i imagine coldcut has probably coined a term for it by now - check out their site on ninja tune.

Ha!, forgot about these guys... EBN and Shephard Fairy's Andre the Giant stickers were the two big things to come out of R.I.S.D when I was there. The EBN guys had this kick-ass battle vehicle, a matt black station wagon with all sorts of mad-maxesque crap rivited to it. Watching it climb college hill and thunder off towards Brown U was a site to see.

I saw EBN Halloween 1992 at the Kitchen in NYC. To this day I still think it was one of the best shows I've ever witnessed. And I'm faaaar from an electronic/dance buff.

I wish they'd exist again (and beyond that stuff Josh is doing with Heavy.com), we need 'em.
