This may be too New England-centric for some but it's kept me amused all morning. Comic strips that are about the Red Sox, Fidel Castro and rampaging monsters. There's also a truly bizarre Billy Bragg fan fiction page.

I've always considered myself a big Uncle Bill fan, but I never fantasized about him washing his car shirtless or eating a Papa John's pepperoni and mushroom pizza while watching Seventh Heaven. But I'm so glad someone has. That site made my day.

That fan fiction is something else.

"Billy, that's wonderful! Are you an Episcopalian?"

"Aye, I am," he replied.

"He's perfect!" I thought to myself.

Billy Bragg and I spent the whole day cruising up and down the coast. We talked about Pokemam, our favorite soda pop (his words!), cars, Ally McBeal, and, of course, Beanie Babies.

oh jesus.

Hmmm. I love Billy Bragg, but this whole fan fiction thing is really odd.

This just in: the Billy Bragg fan page is a hoax. (Thanks, Rob!)

The idea that someone would create fake Billy Bragg fan fiction seems even odder than the idea of real Billy Bragg fan fiction. Excellent.
