Hm. Well, if you're basing your defense on a medical pretext, it'd probably be a good idea to call a doctor as a witness.

While the brain tumor defense was very nice...

Vandergaw pointed out that Smith was asking the woman for sex, but didn't jump on her or touch her.

This is interesting. My wife wrote the original story from which this AP account was adapted. Unfortunately, I can't link to her story -- much better written, of course :) -- because for some reason my paper's Web site doesn't have it. sigh. But here's an earlier story she did on how much the guy's brain tumor was costing the county.
