Schizophrenics make the best web sites. I've seen lots of them-- they're almost always hilarious. However, this particular page is especially entertaining. Here is the Google cache in case Geocities shuts down the link.

Sh*t! He's on to us. Who would have guessed he'd have found the implant and the microphone on his TV?

Well, maybe they are out to get him. I mean, GeoCities shut him down, and if GeoCities ain't THE MAN, I don't know who is.

Why did Geocities shut down the link right after this was posted here? Hmm?

I think it must be pretty terrible to have to live your life in constant fear, regardless of whether the source of his paranoia is internal or external.

In this case, I actually hope the site is a joke we've all fallen for.

Anyway, since we've crashed the guy's site already, I just dashed him off an e-mail explaining what happened.. wouldn't want this to add to his worries.

Laughing at schizophrenia ... damn, what fun!

Later, we can go chuckle at AIDS patients, or make up some jokes about cripples.

Har Har.

Not to be a wet blanket, but profound mental illness isn't really funny or entertaining. As a survivor of it, I can tell you it is hell.

Not to assume that this site is the real account of a disorganized schizophrenic, it could be fiction. But as a general subject, not really funny, boys.

Not to beat a dead pony, but who here likes pancakes?

If you really cared, Harry, you would pass your hat around, and take a collection up for the man to help pay for his Seroquel prescription. You people have any idea how much antipsychotic drugs cost these days?

People are fascinating regardless of hardship. The beauty of the web is that everyone (except prisoners) can have a voice as long as they have a dial up. I see no reason why we shouldn't feature and discuss sites like this when the individuals elected to put their thoughts online. This is the same type of discussion that haunts porno mags, etc. In the end, if an individual chooses to act in porn, put schizophrenic thoughts online, or discuss Aids on a website, so be it. It is fair game. That is why there are secure websites, folks.

That doesn't spark up discussion, ezfowler, that's making fun. If the link text was rewritten it would completely change the context of how this discussion developed.

In the Glorious New Regime, the insane will be placed in cages and made to dance for your amusement in sports stadiums equipped with innumerable vegetables and rotting objects ripe for the tossing.

...then they will be given automatic weapons, their cages will automatically open, and the doors to the stadium will be sealed from the outside. See, this way I solve two social problems!

Harry Hopkins' Hat was pointing to an amusing page. the word 'hilarious' should have tipped off most of the stick-up-the-ass types to this, but they're so busy patting themselves on the back for being such wonderful people that they apparently missed it. he wasn't laughing at schizophrenia or at mental illness nor was he implying that they were funny. he was laughing at a web page. there is a large difference between the contents of an html file and the illness which may possibly have driven someone to create it or its content. not too fine a point if made in a discussion about web design or aids awareness or gay bashing or dubya/politics/terrorism/war, but one which the stick-up-the-ass types have conveniently overlooked in this discussion of what they consider an unsuitable link. which is thier only real problem here, HHH. they don't like your link. they're all above geocities sites, here in the rarified heights of mefiville.
