When you wake up Monday morning (October 7), consider donning a pair of red undies to show your support for reproductive choice. Sadly, i think that most people will actually be hiding their support this way, but it's still a good cause.

Mine are already red when I wake up in the morning.

Let that be a lesson: 30 seconds of pleasure is not worth a life time of medicated cream.

Not if you wear them on your head.

What a fantastically sneaky way of selling panties.

In Spain people wear red undies when there's a major lottery draw coming up, as it's supposed to bring good luck. I don't know what that says about reproductive choice.
I've never won the lottery by the way.

And what're folks in the UK supposed to wear during

Red shirt, denim overalls, white gloves, and a red cap with an "M" on the front, of course.

Is there some fun, hip way of showing that you *don't* support "reproductive choice"?

Yes, Hanes has recommended that you wear blue underwear.

Who?
You. A woman. A man. A teenager. A child. Anyone who cares about keeping reproductive choice available.

Yeah. Man, woman, teenager, OK. But child? As if a child can really form an educated opinion about reproductive choice. This is galactically stupid.

Fellow dancer Jessica and I noticed we were both wearing the same, unusual color of panty. Jessica said, "I see you got the memo."

Memo?, my buddy you can tell by his socks. He color matches them with his underwear. Well, when he wears his white slacks you can see the matching wear.

I think "going commando" would be a better way to show support for reproductive rights.

i never thought of red being an usual color for panties. i guess on the 7th i'll just have a good excuse for showing off my cute panties.

you could go commando with the red panties on your head... i think that would be the best way to show off your reproductive choice according to the posts so far...

~consults schedule~

Ok, so it's red on Monday.
Black on Tuesday to show solidarity with the Goth movement.
Brown on Wednesday to support fair coffee prices for the rainforest farmers.
Green and pink stripes on Thursday to show support for Gay and Lesbian Candy-Stripers.
Silver on Friday to promote Grey Pride week.
Blue on Saturday to show support for Stan Jones' campaign for the U.S. Senate.

And if I don't do the laundry that leaves me......

buck-naked on Sunday to show my support for my partner.

what if you wear them on the outside of your pants?

kind of superman looking if you wear them outside of bluejeans.

Um, I just hope the public doesn't confuse this campaign with the one being carried out by Angry Harry who also seems to think that underwear provides a good platform for staging social protest.

The panty idea, however vague, gets all sorts of street cred with the feminist movement, seeing as how it was pioneered by fat girl heroine Marilyn Wann, creator of the zine Fat!So? and author of the subsequent, immensely popular book Fat!So?: Because You Don't Have to Apologize for Your Size.

What's more, the modern art dancing she's referring to could well be Big Moves, as she did do a dance production with them, but more likely, it's the Padded Lilies, a plus-size water ballet troupe of which Wann herself is a member. I think I saw them perform once live on Leno.
