I would be more impressed if they sucked the drugs through the straw, then intoxicated their guests in a fart cloud.

I have absolutely no intention of witnessing this act in person. Some brave person is going to have to try this and report back to us.

Stevie Nicks urban legends aside (can't get snopes to load), the internal membrane by the anus is very thin and provides a great deal of surface area to get the drugs into your system.
On the downside, if you puncture the membrane (with a plastic straw, for instance) you are fairly likely to erm, die as a result.
Now, that wouldn't look good on a resume!

The butt-straw meme (if I may term it a meme) has been going around for years before we had Mustofilter. However, this is the first time I've ever seen it associated with anyone other than Stevie Nicks.

I've honestly never heard of this, though I don't claim to be an expert in such matters. Judging from what google pulled up on disco dumping, it sounds like a (rather limited) myth that may have its roots in rave culture. (And as this link points out, it's probably perpetrated by Terrence P. Farley.)

But regardless, if it's just a rumor, I think that it's shameful on Musto's part to be giving it such credence. It's like the gerbilling myth; it portrays gay men as being disgusting, amoral perverts.

stored among those things in my head that I wish I didn't know is the first-hand account of how Stevie Nicks, nasal passages ravaged by years of cocaine use, took up bootie bumping by having an assistant blow the stuff up there with a straw.

I'm assuming the assistant was well paid.

oh, and this is SO not a myth. I had friends a decade ago who swore by this. Seems it's making a comeback.
