I wrote a Pi day song once... the refrain when you recite the number was a bitch to get through.

My high school collectively celebrates this day every year. Alumni (mostly those especially close to one or more of our math teachers) make time to come back over their spring breaks to join in. Even considering it's a magnet math and science school, that's pretty damn geeky.

My best friend from said school? She has pi memorized to 1500 digits. She says she's still a "little hazy on the last two hundred." I thought about memorizing e to show her up, but I don't think I have it in me.

Believe it or not, we actually celebrated Pi Day today at my work place.

Of course we are all geeks who write and edit curriculum for an education-related company.

We had pizza and cherry pie for lunch.

They celebrated Pi Day in my daughter's 6th grade math class. The kids all brought pie and they shared it. That was a lot of pie!
