Way to go, Mr. President.Hmm, odd. If you visit the White House's website and click on the president, the text is right, but the picture seems to be a little off... If it's been corrected, I grabbed a screenshot and put it on my server. I'm sure it's just a sign of the attention to detail to come over the next four years...

Mildly amusing, but the the real url for the whitehouse is www.whitehouse.gov, not www.whitehouse.org.

whitehouse.org is owned by Satire-online.

Very clever...but the link goes to whitehouse.org. The official White House website is whitehouse.gov. Fooled me for a moment though...

Heh heh heh, another failed attempt to discredit Bush backfires. But it's only the third Bush link posted today. Usually by 6 pm you'd expect at least seven anti-Bush links on MeFi.

But I would be closer to the truth!

If you're going to criticize Bush, and least substantiate it with an intelligent statement or arguement.

Sal, I was refering to the fact that GW's campaign team registered the URLs bushsucks.com, bushblows.com, and bushbites.com.

I haven't seen any other politicians registering URLs that display them in a bad light. Enough substantiation for you?

Neb, sorry, I must have missed that earlier posting. My apologies.

I'm just growing tired of all the Bush-bashing here, which has been going on for the last 6 months. I joined this blog because of all the great links to sites I wouldn't otherwise have come across. But lately this blog has been 50% political bantering. Aren't there hundreds of other sites that do this better? It seems to me to take away from MetaFilter's uniqueness...which is it's strength.

Sal, I understand being very right-wingy-y myself, but I think the political discourse on mefi mirrors that which I hear in r/l. People all over are kinda sensitive lately for some reason..
