Chinese to launch Hack the USA campaign. As if this weren't enough of a problem from inside the US. Maybe Starbucks should reconsider the free web access in Beijing.

Uh-oh. Matt, blue and white aren't really good colors for this here site, can't you use more red and yellow? A small portrait of the good chairman wouldn't hurt either. (nudge nudge, wink wink)

...with the Chinese set to launch a "Hack the USA" campaign beginning on May Day.

I can smell a parade brewing!

But seriously, this is a sure sign that it's time to get tough with the Chinese, they may get my credit card info.

Well, if you look at the stats, China has been getting slammed themselves of late. The interesting thing is that China has already been claiming to be attacking American sites yet we as well as other defacement mirrors have not seen the huge amount of hacked Web sites China is claiming. And we mirror almost all defacements short of dialups, mail servers and sites that didn't have a Web server to begin with.

what is news is the things the hackers are doing. I read an aug, 99' piece in 'Newbytes' about PLA's calling for hackers. China thinks they could get us like japan supposedly did with us in the 80's. 'OHHH we cant do much, who will make our playstations, toyotas" THe CCP will find its red ass out in the wind. "Oh americans need our manufacturing power" yeah so they make all our crap (someone name me ten products "ORGINATING" from china. boilsdown to this, they need us more then we need them, they just dont know it yet. People forget how stubborn Uncle Sam can get when pushed to the wall. Perhaps they are still pissed about us harping on them about human rights and installing a mcdonalds in beijing. Remember if Russia and china joined forces, they would kick our ass in manufacturing and development. Keep those two apart and all will be good.

My favourite part was :

"The United States is deliberately attempting to influence the countries that circle around us - Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines - and trying to turn them against China,"

Turn the neighbours against China? Boy that would take a WHOLE lot of effort, wouldn't it...

Hey come to think of it maybe this is the source of the All Your Base meme, just a warning of things to come...
